Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

My father recently was released from the hospital with a severe brain injury. His lack of awareness of his own situation, the fact that he could not walk (yet tried to do so repeatedly), and complete lack of short term recall provided a huge challenge. Although my father was placed in a rehab facility, he needed around the clock one-on-one care or else the rehab facility could not keep him. In a desperate state, we called Right At Home and were relieved to have an understanding voice on the other end of the phone. Cindy immediately gathered all pertinent info and got to work scheduling staff to assist us. Within hours, Cindy had staff lined up to cover night and day 12 hours shifts, which ensured that my father could remain at the rehab facility. Right At Home saved us! Their staff are all wonderful and dealt with a very difficult patient with no complaints. They are compassionate and understanding and exactly what we needed during a very difficult time.

I have had Right At Home in Sarasota providing services to my mother Lola for over 18 months. I am very grateful for the caring, kind and dependable caretakers that have been spending time with my mother, who has Alzheimer's. They help to keep her engaged in activities, and provide meaningful companionship on a daily basis. Any time I call Right At Home, the office staff is professional, kind and courteous, not to mention efficient and attentive. I definitely recommend Right At Home without hesitation, and believe that the services they are providing have done wonders for my Mother. Thank you Right At Home!

They could improve by getting people when we need them. There have been times when they haven't been able to get people to me when I need them.
Sometimes, they don't have enough people at the right times. I wish they could get more people.

Right at Home was there for my family when my brother was in a crisis situation. He was placed in Hospice after a long two-year fight with glioblastoma. We needed to get care support in the home to help with his care immediately. Right at Home was able to provide someone the very night he came home from the doctors. The level of expertise in the care provided was outstanding. Everyone treated my brother with dignity and compassion. Through the challenges of living far away from my brother, Right at Home communicated with me in upstate NY in coordinating with the caregiver in the home in Florida. As someone who worked in Home Care for many years, I was impressed with the level of the service and quality of the care. But most of all, everyone from the owner to all the nurses and aides, everyone was there for my family and my brother was well cared for in his last days.

Right at Home has relieved me, who has been her major caregiver for over two years. I just couldn't do it anymore. I live with her, and it was 24 hours, seven days a week.
I like that we are notified when our caretaker is not coming. Unless, the caretaker doesn't call in to let them know or doesn't clock in, we have a problem then. Right at Home tries to correct it as quickly as they can. We are very satisfied.

It's been my husband and me for over 40 years so It's been an adjustment for me to let someone else help him. However, to have someone to watch my husband has been very helpful for me.

It's difficult, because i'm across the country. It's been pretty positive. She calls me and provides me feedback on their visits, and my dad is always happy.
It's pretty tricky getting health care workers into someone's home, who doesn't want it, and the personality is important. It was tough to sell the idea to my dad that he needed help. He loves the caregivers coming into his home, both of them. That's the primary thing. I was a little concerned when I made the appointment, but when both of them were there, he said they were great, and he's happy that they are coming to their house.

Right at Home provided companionship care for my brother-in-law. He didn't need personal care, just a caregiver who could take him on short excursions a couple of times a week. He really enjoyed those outings, and that helped us out a great deal, as we are not always in town.
Caregivers arrived on time except for a couple of emergency instances, but RAH was able to get someone to fill in.
Highly recommend this organization. Very responsive to our needs.

The people I talk to on the phone are responsive.
It's hard to judge them because of covid. I needed backup and once covid hit I wasn't able to get backup. I do like the current caregiver very much and Nurse Rose is very wonderful. Those two make it work.

I think the company does a very fine job. I don't expect the moon. I am picky but I like my current caregiver and I just don't want them to change her.
I have never had any other company so I don't know how to compare. I had bad luck at the beginning but it is because I'm picky. They kept sending me caregivers until we found a good match for me.

It's stressful. I think they're trying to get the same person to come. That would help.
We keep getting new people. They've never seen a c-pap or motorized chair. I have to teach them all over again when we have someone new. I put notecards on the door to remind them what to do.

I called Right at Home Sarasota to provided care to my Mother-in-law during a very difficult time. They answered my call promptly and quickly put my mind at ease. The office staff was very professional and compassionate. I knew that I had called the Right Home Health company.
We needed care to start right away, they came out the house the same day to sign us up and a caregiver started the same night.
All of the caregivers were always on time, dressed professional, so polite, knew exactly what care was needed and it was apparent that they were very well trained. They took such great care of mom, as if they were taking care of their own mother. We are so thankful for everything they did. She loved to be doted on and that is exactly what they did. Mom was happy to have the additional attention.
Right at Home has more than exceeded our expectations. From the first call, to the scheduling team, the nursing team, the caregivers and to the billing department.Everyone was just wonderful. An extension of our family.
We just can't thank the Right at home team enough. We are so grateful for everything they have done!
My recommendation for a private duty home heath company is Right At Home.

The help has been very good. The last two girls were great. Generally we get different people but we'd like those two to come back.

She was great but they moved her to mornings and I did not need them that much. My husband could do enough on his own to not need them. She did take good care of my husband.

Staff is not always on time, they send a different aide at times, times are not confirmed at times phoned are used on client times at times, calls are not returned also at times no one shows up at times.

I cannot say enough good things about Kim J. and Right at Home caregiver Alex. Kim has been an incredible help to my family. She has gone above and beyond with her time and recommendations which have always been spot on. Alex has been an angel! He is exactly the kind of person I want; totally trustworthy, unobtrusive, caring, kind and just a real good chap! This company has been a godsend and I would look no further.

I spoke to the agency a number of times about how I'm not a great delegator. I needed somebody that would do those dishes or take him on a walk. She waited until I told her to do things.

It has taken a lot of time that we did not expect. They could do better training and be aware of the particular nuances that my parents are struggling with. Medically, they just need to be on top of those issues so my mom can have less stress.
If someone can't show up, there's a team of people trying to find someone. It's nice to have peace of mind in having a team of professionals. Once we defined what we needed, they definitely matched it.
