My husband is in real denial that he needs help. We are trying to adjust to his declining needs, and it has been a difficult transition.
I had some specific needs that I was hoping could be filled. I use two other companies and feel that having a third company is important because of the availability of caregivers and necessary changes. It is hard to get used to caregivers in your home, but I am very happy with the caregiver that I have right now.

They get my mom up so that she will do things. She won't do some things for me anymore.
I specifically like the person we have through them. They set us up with her when the first person didn't quite work out, and we had a sub one day. They found a sub right away for us. When we needed a new person, they found us a good match.

I hear from my mom that she likes the lady that she is working with. She takes care of her and bathes her. I wish I could have her come more often.

We really can't say anything because my dad has his ways set and he's not going to change. They will try to do what they can.
They should make sure they have caregiver back-ups.

If I give instructions, I worry that it won't get to all the caregivers. I would like it if they had a bulletin board or something where I could post instructions for the caregivers.
It's nice not to have to worry about scheduling. They do all of the scheduling for us.

The services help a lot and it improves everybody's life. The caregiver has helped my mom the most with social interaction. I am very happy with her. She is very professional, knowledgeable, and reliable.
I like their availability. They're always there when I need them. Every time I need something, they reply and they help me. They accommodate different requests and I am satisfied.

Most of her daily living is what they help her with. They help her with her bath and her food. They take her out for her hair appointments.
I like their ability to manage things for us and everything runs smoothly. The continuity is really important, so being able to have the same staff in there is vital.

On Wednesday she takes my mom to the store. There was someone I requested and that my mom likes but we have yet to get her.
The person that comes is sweet but my mom says that she sleeps a lot and is on her phone a lot.

They have made a difference in her recovery and the caregiver has made it positive by noticing what the physical therapist was doing and would make sure Naomi was doing the exercises that needed to be done. My wife has become more independent.
I like that they do what they say they are going to do. I recommended them this last week to a neighbor.

The client also has nurses and physical therapists, and the care is generally good and hands-on.
The agency has all of the caregivers as independent contractors, so they don't have much control over them. I don't think that is the best system.

The one who came the most recently is amazing and has been one of the best caregivers we've had. However, sometimes we have caregivers who come and only spend time on their phones.
There are times where we don't need 4-hour services. Sometimes, I just need 2-hours. I find that I'm spending money on hours that I don't always need.

My wife has early onset Alzheimer's disease. By having someone I can call, that I'm comfortable with, that can care for her while I'm away allows me to live a more normal life.
They are very responsive to what I think I need for my wife. Each time that I've needed special scheduling they've been able to meet my needs.

This agency has relieved some stress from me, and it has been a trial, but it has taken a while to understand the care my mom needs.
I like how someone is always available, in case there is a cancellation, they always get on it, and they always find people, and there is always someone to answer the phone.

The caregivers that are not so good need to like old people and know how to treat the clients. They need to have patience. They need to have compassion for them and understand they are slow and cannot do things. Some of them come in and they just want to come in and sit on the phone or sleep.
They need to vet out their caregivers really well before they hire them. They seem to be hiring unqualified caregivers who do not care.

The agency is helpful by I am able to get out and do things. I do not have to be the caregiver. They practice my grandmother's therapy and things she need.
I need to better train and select the aides. We have had pretty bad experiences with them. They need to know they are qualified and not just have certifications.
