My father used Homewatch CareGivers of South Orlando for two months. The caregivers were cheerful and helpful and helped us get through a difficult time. They assisted with daily activities such as dishwashing, grooming, and light housekeeping. The scheduling was flexible and the billing was online, so that was convenient. We had difficulty scheduling caregivers who were vaccinated for Covid-19. The management worked with us as best as they could, but there was a lack of vaccinated staff available really in the community, not just them. I feel like the management worked very hard to honor our wishes, but that is a real problem in getting home care. People in the age group willing to do the work (for reasons unbeknownst to me) tend to be the same people that don't want to be vaccinated. The management worked with us to get vaccinated caregivers, but they were not always available. They were willing to be flexible, and they were very cheerful and helpful. I liked the flexibility. We weren't locked into a long, drawn-out contract, which I appreciated because our needs kind of changed from time to time. I feel like they did have to cancel sometimes because of not having the staff available, but when they were there, it was very helpful. They worked hard to help us. It was just down to my dad not cooperating. We had to discontinue because he was unwilling to cooperate.
