We have the perfect home health aide that fits the client's needs.
They have been stable. There is room for improvement with communication.

When they are here they are good.
I would like to have a caregiver show up all the time to the house. They are supposed to be here five to six days a week and I might get three or four days. Sometimes they don't show up at all.

I would like to have someone who speaks good English.
My biggest problem was that she had two different caregivers. I could not understand either of them because neither of them spoke English as a primary language.

I needed a caregiver on Sundays for seven hours, other agencies couldn't do that, but Griswold worked with me.
I like that the agency kept looking for a caregiver until they found one that clicked with my mom.

Without Griswold Home Care, things would be drastically different for myself and my father.
They communicate really well. Our primary caregiver is outstanding, and whenever she needs time off, it's easy to find a replacement.

He was just so lonely and he wasn't well (when I went there 2 years ago), and that's when we found her. Things are so much better now.
I chose the service for him. The lady, Silvia, that I chose as a caregiver really looks out and takes very good care of my brother.

I also like how they try hard to do whatever their client needs, and they do a very good job and they give advice for good help.
One thing that I like about them is that they are willing to go the extra mile as well as adapt when there are changes in circumstances.

They are very helpful. I couldn't function without them. They have helped me the most because they do the daily care. And they fill in when the aid isn't available, they provide replacements.
They are very attentive. I would tell a friend they are very detail oriented and have very good communication.

They are supposed to do light housework, but not a lot of them do. They are on their phones.
There have been issues with things missing from time to time and some caregivers that don't do much.

We have been using Griswold Homecare for my mother since the beginning of November. The caregiver we have would help Mom use the facilities, bathe her if needed and actually does some light housekeeping. She also fixes her lunch. She helps monitor things for us, like she would take Mom's blood pressure for us. She also accompanies her to physical therapy. We basically have her do different things with my mother. Mom had stroke so we're trying to keep her mind going and doing different things to help her to get better. This caregiver is very good. I don't have any problem with her, other than we wish that she would be more forward thinking. Other than that, she's good to my mother. She takes good care of her. She's also pleasant, so it's working okay. This is the second person to come into the house from Griswold Homecare. The first lady was very good with Mom and I really like her. She was more a little more interactive with my mom, but she had a very thick accent and it was very hard to understand her. That was the only complaint I had about the first lady. Regarding the agency, they would call every once in awhile and make sure that we're getting everything that we had asked for and that everything is going okay. Overall, they're okay.

We have been fortunate and gotten a very caring, flexible live-in caregiver for our mother, who is bed-bound and does not speak due to the late stage of Alzheimer's disease. The aide has cared for mom almost a year through Griswold Home Care and we've been happy with the arrangement. When she went on vacation, they provided a substitute. Griswold's fee is one of the lowest in our area, although I'm not sure why the portion that pays for the office is so high. That's the one major complaint I have--the caregiver gets extra pay for holidays and so does the office--even though they don't work that day.
