We used Synergy Home Care from November until the end of February. Fantastic people -- the office staff. Some caregivers I would not recommend; others I would highly recommend. My sister was sick, I was there in September, and I came back to Denver in November or December. I had caregivers in place. We had one particular lady that was extremely personable, but she dropped the ball. I got a phone call early January that my sister has moved back to the emergency room, and according to the caregiver, she had been very bad the last three weeks. I would have to commend them because the caregivers took meticulous notes. They signed me in, called, and checked in on the home phone. They go over all of the notes of what they did during the day. I don’t have any fault to that at all; I just noticed five days later that my sister had taken another turn for the worse, and then I got a call in January that she had to be taken back to the hospital. Six weeks later, she passed away. It was so traumatic for me. I am not saying anything negative about Synergy; it’s just that one individual. There were two very close friends in Colorado; one of them was supposed to be called first and I was supposed to be called second because I live in Tennessee, and the other one lives in Parker, but there was no outreach from that particular caregiver. There was nothing absolutely wrong with this one particular caregiver because she was the main caregiver. It’s just that I felt that if my sister was in that bad of a shape, she should have called the local contact. She was just nice as she could possibly be, and I know that she had my family in their best interest as she let my sister make the decisions. She should have called me on what to do. Synergy I would recommend in a heartbeat, but each family will get a feel in the first hour of those caregivers coming in if they would be able to bond with them. I would definitely highly recommend Synergy -- no qualms about them. The last caregiver that we had after my sister passed away was taking care of my niece. My 41 year old niece also has a lot of medical challenges. The caregiver was taking care of Kimberly. I still keep on calling Synergy, we became friends, and they are very good. The office personnel that I talked to on any given day was highly personable. I would use Synergy again.
