Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

It depends on which caregiver it is. The caregiver we have now is great, but it took four different people to find them.
Sometimes the communication is lacking. When I have needed to reach someone, sometimes I can't and have to leave a message. They don't answer my emails very often.

I wouldn't be able to go to work. I am able to continue to do the things for her and my business.
The scheduling communication could be improved. Personally, I like to know who is coming, and we have had a few issues. I like who they are sending, but the scheduling is a little difficult because we need someone so early in the morning.

They can be more prompt in getting the things to our caregivers when they need them and the stuff to us when we need it.
Their office staff is overloaded and not as efficient in calling back and keeping us posted as they could be.

She desperately needs the caregiver now. They need to be more consistent so she knows when and if someone is coming.
I have a problem when the caregiver can't show up. They don't provide a replacement.

My loved one couldn't do without them and she has always been a loner. It was difficult to have people around but she really likes who they sent. It has made a huge difference to her life.
I really like who they have. I like the women they've had and they did a very good job. They are very caring and the woman who is there certainly deals with all of that.

Sometimes they have been short of people, and so there are some that they have sent who have not been our favorites.
They are not perfect. No one is, but they are very good. They have sent us good people. There are some I do not care for, but they have some good people.

I specifically told Right at Home I needed someone that could help me with my wife who was paralyzed on the right hand side, someone who would be able to pick her up, put her on a wheelchair, or on the bedside commode. They said they had someone specific in mind that they thought could do that.
When the lady showed up, she was a very nice Filipino lady, very small but petite. Absolutely no way she could pick my wife up physically, and she also informed me that that was her first day working for the company. They did not send me someone capable of doing what I asked for in the first place.
I called the company after her first day here and they said they would send somebody new on Thursday. On Wednesday afternoon, I got a call asking if it would be OK if the lady they were going to send me could come in on Friday instead of Thursday, and I said that it was fine. On Friday at about 11:30, I got a call telling me that she wasn’t going to be able to make it at 12, our agreement, and I told them that we were done. I called the head of the company, and I told him not to bother. On the positive side, I never did get a bill, so we got 4 hours free from them.

We used Right at Home for my brother, but he had passed. I found that he had young, inexperienced caregivers. They were not very aggressive as to control on my brother. My brother was an alcoholic. He got upset if they would not take him to the bar, so they would take him to the bar, which was something that they not were supposed to do. They could improve on having qualified personnel to do the job at hand. However, the management were great people. They were attentive to what was going on, but I found out that both the caregivers that were sent to him were not what he should have gotten.

Right at Home has helped take care of my parents for 6 months. I live 2500 miles away and it has been indispensable to have the help. Phil and Brenda have gone the extra mile to help them several times. Patty worked daily one on one with them and I couldn't be happier.

The primary caregiver (Patty) is very commited to her work. My parents really love her. My Parents have had some after hours emergencies and Phil and Brenda have taken care of the problems. This is very important to me because I live 2500 miles away.

I received excellent care from Right at Home folowing hip replacement surgery. Patty from the Camarillo office was my care provider. She was energetic, friendly, efficient and very skilled in all areas of personal and household care. Brenda the community liaison, coordinated my care with efficiency and skill. I am very satisfied!
