Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

The last girl didn't take out the trash for me. I had gotten up at 5 in the morning to take it out for myself. I am very able-bodied. The vacuuming, sweeping, and laundry are all positive.
I like Wendy and the person who assigns people.

I've used them for transportation to and from surgeries. Wendy actually took the time to follow up with me to see if I was okay after my surgery. That wasn't part of what she needed to do; I just needed transportation. She took that extra step.
Wendy, the manager, will bring me to my surgery or pick me up if it's really early in the morning. She and everyone else has given really excellent service. I had to be picked up at 5am and she came by and did that, and it wasn't the first time.

They took care of the floors, shopping, cleaning the bathroom, changing my sheets, all that stuff, cooking. They did everything.
I was talking to my caseworker about Right at Home, I already recommended them to her. If I was to have a kidney transplant, I would want Right at Home to come help.

Most of them do what you need. A few of them don't speak English well though.
I asked specifically for someone to help me clean and they sent someone who only did light cleaning. But they will take my wheelchair to the doctor's.

They have done everything possible to follow the schedule I have in place. If I feel a caregiver isn't trained or doesn't match my personality I will let them know. That hasn't happened for my regular caregivers, just substitutes.
I like that they are competent and courteous. I have never been disappointed. When it is time for them to be here, they are here. They are all qualified to do what they are doing in home caregiving.

My mom was saying that she wanted different hours but she is never really happy. However, the impact on my life has been tremendous. I would not have been able to have her released from rehab without them.
I thought they were wonderful. I wasn't there but I'm sure they did all they could to get her motivated. She is at the last part of her life and she is getting cantankerous.

Without them I am not able to get out of the house. My husband needs constant care and someone to be with him.
I don't like recommending things to other people no matter what. I think this is a very tough industry and when there are so many different personalities in clients and caregivers, it is very tricky. I haven't used another service to compare it to.

For me, I am here every other week. She is on her own when I'm not here, for which I am grateful. To make my mom's life easier they could give her people that she has had before that were good.
She doesn't need the care as often as other people do. They have had issues with caregivers and a turnover. We call and sometimes the person she wants isn't available.

I felt like they didn't follow through too well on my illness and haven't provided me with all my answers. They provided me with a better person now.
They have been reliable for me. Most of the time they have been able to sit by me with people on my schedule. I had someone with me for nine months permanently and that was very nice.

I like it when someone comes and they are willing to come and help me do light housework. They always come with a car so they can take me to the store or the doctor.

We had to iron out problems at the beginning because she would sit and talk for a while before she started working. I talked to the agency about that. When I came to work, I was working, so I expect self-sufficiency of the caregivers.

It frees me up to do other things. There is an adjustment time that it takes me for to accept someone is coming to my house. My wife and I are both retired and disabled. I'm free to do things, but she's home alone most of the time. I have to be comfortable if I do go out or if I'm planning on meeting someone for lunch. I know that it won't blow up in the 11th hour.
They are conscientious about doing things around the house and following the documented needs. They are good at paying attention to that.

We're using Right at Home La Jolla for my mother and it's been positive. They've been very helpful. They got me help, which I desperately needed, and the people they've sent have been very good. They provide companionship, cooking, cleaning, they drive her to the doctor, go grocery shopping, and walk her to the bathroom. The caregivers are very attentive, very kind, and very helpful. The scheduling has been fine. They come every day for 12 hours.

My brother and I did not know what to do anymore. She has so many doctor's appointments, and it was to a point that I almost lost my job because I was taking so much time off to care for her.
My mom loves and trusts them. The caregiver treats my mom like family. She has even visited her off of her hours just to see how she is doing.
