At Home Care Assistance of Palm Desert, our motto is "Changing the Way the World Ages." Our Home Care Agency has taken this vision to heart and we feel strongly that retirement and aging are not a time to stop but a time to get going. It is our mission to help provide a high quality of life to seniors in Palm Desert and the surrounding communities and to help remove the stress from their lives and the lives of their loved ones. We provide in-home care that goes well beyond companionship, mobility assistance, meal preparation and hygiene. The services have been a high impact because my personality blends with the caregiver and I get along very well with her. I feel like the caregiver is my daughter is taking care of me instead of an outsider. She makes sure all of my needs are met before she leaves.

They should talk to him and ask him about his career. To me, I think that's important. He had one caregiver who was too personal, though.
Some of their caregivers are better than others, but all in all, I know they're just doing their job. My husband doesn't like someone following him around. He would rather they sit in a place where they can spot him than them following him too closely.

They were able to provide the care at a strange schedule, and they were able to do that. They also tried to provide consistent caregivers.
They were very responsive to anything that came up, whether it was with the schedule or a no show.

She is not doing well, but she is doing a lot better than she would without the caregivers. They make sure that she is taken care of, and they are there for her when she needs help.
They are very attentive if you call. I had to change hours with them, and they have done well with that. The people that they send have all been wonderful. They are very caring, kind, and attentive.

They communicated with her and helped her with her communication skills. They kept to a very strict exercise program, which was quite impressive. They learned from the physical therapist and got her walking more often.
We were very pleased by the services. There was a problem with finding someone in the beginning that was best suited for my loved one. The first caregiver was very strong in certain aspects, but the second and third caregiver showed us what we had missed out on.

The impact was not that high because my husband felt they weren't needed, and it made him uncomfortable to have someone sitting by him and watching him. She went with us to they gym, so she would drive him there. He is a private person, so she didn't do much.
We had a wonderful young lady, and there wasn't anything that was their problem. It was ours.

They are very contentious about who they send out. They keep the family informed. The person they send seems to be knowledgeable of elderly people.

We need the services. We have someone who is concerned to come help us. They keep in touch to make sure we are doing fine.
They are concerned, and they call to make sure everything is okay. They will call to make sure everything is going accordingly, and they treat us like family.

It made a huge difference in the life of my mom. Having an extra pair of hands was so great. She was able to get the sleep that she needed.
I think there needs to be clear communication. I paid for the care myself, whereas my parents didn't, and there wasn't good communication about the care that was provided for my father at times. I need more direct, clear communication.

I am pretty independent for my age, which means a lot to me. They were able to show up and helped to be able to assist me.
The caregiver was professional and knew exactly what she had to do. She was simple, kind, and personable. I liked that.

They gave me the space to attend a class. They gave me the comfort and freedom of mind to be able to do that.

It is difficult to say because of the situation. She didn't really have to do anything. She was a very pleasant lady and would have done whatever was required. I liked that she was very pleasant and a nice, caring person.

The services have given a companion for my loved one to talk to. They have been improving.
They are good about finding a replacement caregiver. I like that they also listen to their caregivers about issues and work to correct them.

Right now, my parents have declined, so the type of care they need is more serious. It is not the fault of the agency. They feed my loved one, bathe him, and assist him with hygiene.

On my end, it's been helpful because I don't have to do anything. From my mother-in-law's point of view, she sometimes feels that she doesn't need the help she's getting.
They seem very professional. They came out and we told them what we needed, we interviewed someone, and that's where we stand right now.

Both owners of Home Care Assistance are more than wiling to speak personally to me and help me in any way they can. The caregiver from Home Care Assistance really got along with my husband because she helped entertain him, make his lunch, and even do laundry for me, which helped me a lot. I wasn't getting a lot of sleep beforehand because of all the things I had to do, so she was able to do those things for me. I could talk with her about my husband without feeling like I was whiny.

Home Care Assistance, when I call them, even on short notice, provides caregivers. They makes sure that someone who knows me comes out to introduce the new caregiver when they first come out. Home Care Assistance's services, when I use them, provide exactly what I ask them to do. The help me with shopping and cooking.

If a situation came up, I would certainly recommend Home Care Assistance. They are very good and have been doing a very good job of communicating with me. I can't say enough about my caregiver from Home Care Assistance. She's wonderful, and I forget that she's working for a living. She's like a friend and still does absolutely everything.
