Sometimes I'm trying to learn to cook myself food, but the caregivers will do it for me. They'll watch me in the shower and are able to shift their time if I need transportation to medical care. Most of the caregivers have a routine and look around to see what needs to be done.

When we call them, it helps a lot. My mom is very social, so it helps to have her go out with more people to take a walk or go swimming. There follow up is great. They're very proactive.

The caregiver waters my little garden for me. They do a lot for me. They are very dependable.

They've offered companionship and assistance with bathing and daily living things. Their communication is very good.

The services give me a little break. After going through several assistance, it didn't quite match with our patient and we finally stabilized with one that is good. It provides the service we want.

Some of them are very good and some of them are marginal, at best. Sometimes they lack the initiative to do a decent job of preparing decent food. I haven't had a chance to discuss this with the manager yet, but I will soon. I'm reasonably happy, but not over the top.

What they do is very small, so there's nothing they can do. The facility she was in demands that she has caregivers, so she was using them short term. It's different for every caregiver.
