Kindred provided a caregiver to accompany my wheelchair-bound parent with dementia to a family event. As there were 50 guests, we needed someone to care for her needs throughout, and we did not have the capacity to provide her with the needed care. The Kindred caregiver was wonderful! She sat with my parent, holding hands and helping to keep my parent calm, throughout the 4 hour event - she didn't leave once! She ensured my parent had food and drink throughout, as well. We were able to tend to guests and be sure that our parent was well and safe.

We have Kindred at Home - Personal Home Care Assistance - Livermore, CA. They're wonderful. They're great. We currently have a caregiver Monday through Friday, eight to four o'clock, we had asked for eight to five and we did have eight to five at some point, but I know staffing is hard and they weren't able to give that all the time. But we are super happy with the gal we have now from eight to four, Monday through Friday. The billing was fine. The scheduling was good, I know with COVID they had some staffing issues, but they were always very communicative. If someone couldn't make it, they'd always tell me. They're always asking me if I want somebody, a substitute or not, they didn't just assume I wanted a substitute. They always asked me, and then they were able to provide a substitute most of the time, and the substitutes were always good.

We have been using Kindred at Home for approximately three weeks now. They're fantastic, they're a first-class operation, and I couldn't be thrilled more with them. They have a great attitude, and they're just happy people. My mother loves them and so do I. There's a woman from Livermore who takes care of my mother. She washes her hair, she takes care of her, and she does all these things for her. She's just really good at what she does. She's very happy and very polite. Everybody is just so nice, and they just do first class work. The staff at the agency are the nicest people you ever want to talk to. They are so polite and so nice. I'm in business myself. I deal with people all the time and I'm an older man (I'm almost 60), and it just amazes me how they can have so many people that we have come over here and everybody is on the same page. Everybody is just so polite and nice. The women in the office that I talk to, it is just unbelievable how great they are. They just do great work. When you have a person that's older that needs help, they're very calming to have to talk to them because they understand the situation and it makes everybody in the house a lot calmer, and everybody can feel better about the situation. They put out a very positive energy, and they're very caring people.

We started with Kindred at Home in 2019. They're for my mother. It's been very good. Like with anything, there's always a couple of blips, but I would say 90% has been really good and really positive. It has gone in different stages. When my mother was first sick, I had to have 24-hour care, and we didn't know she was going to survive at that point. Some of the girls would come so that I could get some rest. They would come in at 11:00 at night and stay till 6:00 in the morning. They were really on top of it. I only had a couple of times where somebody flaked and was late and it only happened a couple of times, but when you're having service almost every single day, it's bound to happen. It has only happened a few times, and I would call the main office. An exception would be the girl that was going to school full time and working nights. She gave me her cell phone and had called me a couple of times saying, 'I'm on my way,' because she was running a few minutes late, and that was fine. They're coming out for maybe four hours just in general to come in and give me a break to get out of here. They take care of her, give her a shower, get her some exercise, take a little walk and do basic stuff like that. The majority of the time, Sarah, has been phenomenal. I think she truly loves my mom. Basically, I like the attentiveness of the girls. They're always good to my mom. They're really good.

Kindred at Home was excellent. They did what they said they were going to do, and they went beyond the expectations that I had for care. Their office was receptive and proactive. They kept good records. The caregiver was very good. She needed very little re-instruction. She always knew what she needed to do and went beyond that when she was with me. She was really superb. The caregiver who came to my house helped me with my personal needs, like showering, bathing, dressing, and wound care. She cooked, she did some light housekeeping, she took me to doctor appointments, and she picked me up at the hospital. She was very friendly, a good company and had a great sense of humor. It was a good match for me initially when she was first picked to be my caregiver. The company came and interviewed me and selected her and then they followed up. She seemed to be interested in what was going on with me. They kept track of my record. I have long-term care and they submitted their bills to the long-term care and they were very efficient as far as that was concerned.

Kindred staff have been a blessing for my husband and myself. Our ongoing caregiver Adriana is awesome, she is caring and very helpful, I'd love for her to move in. Staff is friendly and always prompt to our needs. Visits with Maribel, client care sup, are always nice, information is always provided. Highly recommended.

Kindred at Home have been great. They have been helpful and accommodating, and they have responded to my questions promptly. I haven't had any problems. They were good about finding me a caregiver that fit my mom's needs and that could also match my mom's personality. They have been working great right now. They help feed her and transport her to the bathroom. Because she has progressive supranuclear palsy, she is pretty immobile, and so they do a lot for her. They do motion range exercise with her, and if she needs a shower, then they'll give her a shower, too. They provide basically daily activity care. It has been within our budget. As far as scheduling, I haven't had any problems. The times and days of the week where we need care, they are willing to do it, and if there is a change, they accommodate that. I haven't had any problems.

I have nothing but great things to say about Kindred at Home care. The staff members from management to scheduling to the caregivers are knowledgeable, competent and most important of all, compassionate. I started using her services for my disabled mom beginning of January of this year. Given this was my first time even dealing with a care provider agency, I was nervous and anxious as I wasn't sure what to expert. But the process to sign up was smooth and Marivel answered all my questions every step of the way and addressed all my concerns. Rocio, who is the scheduling manager, promptly responds to all my scheduling questions and both Marivel and Rocio check in with me regularly for feedback. They were able to match a caregiver that fits my mom's needs and we just love her. Seidia has been punctual, understanding and provides excellent care for my mom. While caring for an ill parents is never easy, Seidia and the staff from Kindred have definitely made it manageable. My family and I are grateful that we found them.

We started Kindred at Home around the summer for my mom. It's outstanding. We have in-home care and hospice. The entire process was wonderful. I was using another in-home care company and was having a difficult time finding really great caregivers. I had been with this other company for six years. They were great; however, they definitely had a lot of turnover with the staff. I decided then that I needed to have some additional help and that's why I reached out to Kindred. My first experience with them was absolutely amazing. The representative that came out to meet with me was really great about explaining everything. I received emails and phone calls from the branch in Livermore. The entire team let me know who they were and how they would help me. It's just amazing from the beginning. My mom has parkinsons and some other health issues as well. They send me the best caregivers I could imagine. They're absolutely wonderful. They're trained with how to work with Parkinson's. They all are absolutely phenomenal.

We hired Kindred at Home for my father-in-law. The caregivers are great so far. We got Kindred as a referral from a friend. They do light housekeeping, they do food prep, they will go and get prescriptions, they will take him to appointments, and they help with personal hygiene.

I had used Kindred at Home for my mother. She was in a facility and she needed some one-on-one care and I hired them in August. They're absolutely great. I was actually on vacation when I started calling them, so when I came back into town, the first day they met me at the facility, we signed the contract, and I gave them all the pertinent information. Then, they were able to get somebody that afternoon; I was very impressed. Any changes that I had, they were able to accommodate it very quickly. We initially started with 10-hour days and then we cut it back to 4 and then bumped up to 6. It seemed like every month, things were changing but they were able to actually accommodate the changes very quickly, so I was very pleased. They got very good care assistants and I was extremely pleased. They worked out perfectly. I was very happy. My mom was in memory care. She had dementia and Alzheimer's. The caregivers were able to react with her, get her up walking, and socialize with her. They massaged her feet, they sang to her, and they tried to engage with her. They tried to bring her out and engaged her in conversation and activities, so I was very pleased and I was very happy. There are the people we will call when it is time for us to have home care assistance. Once I called them up, they were able to react very quickly. I always had somebody go looking after my mom. There may have been one instance where somebody could not make it for whatever reason but they sent somebody else out. They would call me up and there was no gap in the care. I would highly recommend them. When we get to be that age and we need some assistance with home living, we're going to call them. I'm very pleased with Kindred at Home.

I have been using Kindred at Home for four months now. They're helping me with dressing, with bathing, and with transportation. They're also cleaning my home. I'm very comfortable with them. I told them what I do and what I listen to and they try their best to help as best as possible with the caregivers who are also in the same things as I am. I feel comfortable with them; I find them excellent.

We had a great experience using Kindred at Home for a personal aide for my 85-year old mom, at a destination family wedding event. The aide was prompt, professional, and really took the extra time needed to make sure my mom was well cared for during the day and evening.

This is our second time we have used Kindred at Home. We have been using them for about two months now. My husband needs total care. He can't do anything for himself, he can't speak, and he can't walk. They provide help with bathing, with getting in and out of bed, with cleaning up after him, and with meals. They have been pretty good. I have been OK with them. Everybody is very nice. The caregivers are on time, and I haven't had any problems with them not showing up. Everything has been pretty good.

We have been using Kindred at Home for a little over a year now. We have an 8-hour a day caregiver with my dad, who is bed bound. They bathe him and shave him. They just take care of him and make sure he is not getting bedsores. I'm very comfortable with them. We have the same caregiver now; she is there five days a week. We have her for probably a year now. We really love her. Kindred at Home is doing a great job taking care of my dad. if I can't be there, I'm glad that they are.

We hired Kindred at Home Personal Home Care Assistance for my parents. So far, they've been very prompt to our needs, we haven't had any problems, but we only used the agency twice on the weekend. We like the person they send over, she's very attentive, very friendly, and she gets her job done. She does homemaking like cooking, washing the clothes, making the bed, cleaning bathrooms, she does personal care also giving my dad a bath, and dressing. I would recommend them.

The Kindred at Home team was amazing in helping to arrange 24-hour care for my elderly father when he returned home from the hospital. We had amazing support from Kristin, her management team, and all the caregivers during the transition. It was a very difficult time for my Dad and for myself and their kindness and caring made it so easier on us.

Kindred at Home is overall very good. They're just a little late in getting back to me saying that someone is coming. Other than that, the caregivers are very nice. Their job includes conversation and assisting my mother because she walks with a walker, and they also assist and watch her not to choke if she's eating. They told me that when the caregiver comes, she is to check in and use our home phone. The caregivers do it, but one left without calling from the home phone, and that bothered me.

I really enjoy Mary, my caregiver. She comes and we make plans for making a big meal. Mary makes a meal and I can eat it for a few days. It's nice to have a prepared hot meal. She will also do housekeeping tasks I ask her to do.

My dad was moving into an assisted living. Kindred helped with a mature caregiver that was experienced working with a strong willed client. She was great engaging with him and redirecting.

My 81 year old mother has been having health issue's over the past year and I (her son) have checked into a few different home care providers. Some have this service others have different services, but Kindred Home Care was the only one I found with reasonable rates, someone to come in and help my mother with a shower, do her laundry, cook her meals and just keep her company. The caretaker has always been polite, courteous to my mother and myself and fun to be around. The office personnel were always very polite, followed through on any questions/issue's that I brought to their attention. In July of 2016, my 96-year old dad began having multiple medical issues. He was in and out of hospitals and SNFs having multiple procedures and fighting a variety of infections. When he was finally released to come home, he was weak and disoriented and needing some very close personal care. I work as a special education teacher and would not be home during the day to care for my dad. I made him a promise years ago to watch over him in my home for as long as I was able. Kindred has helped so much in making it easier for me to keep that promise. Once dad was released to come home, arrangements were made with Kindred to help with the care dad needed to remain home. At first, we needed 24-hour care and I was really nervous about having strangers in my home for whatever reason. No need to worry! The Kindred caregivers are sensitive, warm and caring. They made it all easy for me and my family; there when needed and never intrusive. Delightful people with wonderful stories and open hearts. One evening, we had a massive emergency and the Kindred caregiver that night was right on target. She contacted me upstairs via text and indicated I was needed. When I came down, my dad's oxygen unit had malfunctioned and we had some bleeding issues. Our Kindred person remained calm and stayed at my side, following directions and doing whatever was needed to help my dad and myself. The EMTs were eventually called and she remained strong and helpful. There are many stories of Kindred caregivers going above and beyond in my opinion to help my family and I, right down to dealing with the pets of the family and my small grandchildren. I not only have, but can highly recommend this organization for their service. The managers are delightful and easy to work with, even with last minute requests for help! I never feel like I'm causing anyone any inconvenience. They are great. A pure 10!

She uses any spare time to clean, dust, mop, do laundry, etc. Gina's patience and personal support have helped Joan tremendously with her recovery from surgery and her morale improved.

Kindred at Home is just plain AMAZING! Kristen, the Director of Kindred at Home, received my emergency call at 2 PM on a Friday afternoon. She met me at the assisted living center at 3 PM. By 4 PM she had arranged 24-hour personal care for my mother and by 5 PM, the first caregiver had arrived at the assisted living center to be with my mother. Without Kristen and Kindred at Home, my mother faced removal from the facility. The caregivers showed real concern and care for my mother. Kristen arranged for the service to follow my mother from the assisted living facility to the memory care facility, seamlessly. My deep appreciation and thanks to Kristen and Kindred at Home I recommend them highly.
