At Homewatch CareGivers, we pride ourselves in providing the highest quality home care services. Our office was recognized with the "2013 Best of Home Care" certification by Home Care Pulse, a national quality monitoring organization. Our caregivers are backed by over 30 years of experience with Homewatch CareGivers, a recognized leader of in-home caregiver services. For your protection, our agency is certified by the American Board of Home Care and by the California Association of Health Services at Home.
Our mission is to preserve dignity, protect independence, and provide peace of mind for our clients and their loved ones by providing exceptional home care.
In addition, we follow the Eden at Home principles, training our caregivers to nurture the human spirit while they are assisting with the physical issues of aging. We train them in techniques that help our clients to overcome the feelings of loneliness, helplessness, and boredom that often go hand in hand with aging.
We provide services that assist people who are rehabilitating or convalescing wherever they reside at home, in assisted or independent living, at a hospital or skilled nursing center, or in a rehab setting. We provide respite care for family caregivers who need a break or want a needed vacation. Our caregivers assist your loved ones for a brief time or an extended period. Our services include companion care, Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, personal care, post-surgery care, and transportation.
We meet with our clients and family members to develop a collaborative care plan that considers which services will best provide the quality of life they are seeking. We obtain daily status reports and perform regular quality checks to ensure our in home caregivers maintain the highest standards of performance.
Our caregivers are our employees, so you don’t have to worry about taxes, liability, worker’s comp, or unemployment insurance. They are bonded and insured, have passed a thorough background check and have gone through comprehensive personality and attitudes testing. We require CPR/First Aid certifications and a TB test. We require that our caregivers receive regular training through Homewatch University to keep their skills sharp. You may interview your caregiver in advance if you prefer. We have one overriding goal, to treat every client with the same consideration we would use if it was our own mom or dad.

They come in with a specific job that they do. They clean up for me and make my bed. There are some things they don't do - one caregiver did it, and one didn't.
I wouldn't give anyone a 10, but she does very well.

They've taken their time on allowing the family to be apart of the decision making as far as who comes into the home. My mom has Dementia and they always take that into consideration.
I like that they are flexible.

They help him by watching him move around and keep him safe. They help with his medications. They help clean a little.
I feel like they could communicate better with me. We need more help but they won't give it to us. He cannot get around very easy.

The caregivers I have now are great. They should send the same quality of people who I have working for me now but I don't think they can do that.
I am not really thrilled with the person who forgets to call and forgets to send someone over here. I have had to tell her to not send some people who were not satisfactory.

We get along okay. She's interesting. She's young and I'm old and I'm used to that with my children.
Several in my apartment building have used the caregivers I've had. Without these girls helping me, other seniors wouldn't know about them, so that's nice.

I am blind. I only know something if somebody tells me. They clean up the house.
The people show up for the care like they are supposed to, but sometimes they miss a day. When that happens that throws it off.

It's a way to make him feel better and have someone around to help him with whatever he needs.
I like how they're not all over me. They're not too persistent or pushy. They give me the freedom to take care of my grandfather and provide the supplies to do so without overstepping.

The VA could have given me the seven days before he passed away. The caregivers came in a timely manner.

The veteran enjoyed the person coming over to give him somebody to talk to.
When I have questions or for something to be done, it was not followed through. I would let the office know, and there was no follow through on the caregiver's side to make sure that it was being done.

They spend time with him, they sit with him, and they talk with him. He gets time to talk to the caregiver and have a good relationship. It is all really great.
They are nice, kind, and they come the attend to him with anything he needs. We enjoy them being here to help us and do the things that he wants to like going on a walk.

I am very happy with my current care, but I had one incident where a caregiver didn't wake up and I had a very bad fall. I also had a caregiver that left in the middle of the night. There have been good people, but there have also been bad experiences.

My caregiver does not come in for a long enough period of time. I tried to talk to the supervisor, but have not seen any change. My caregivers are very helpful because my wife is disabled, and we can't do much of the things that we need help with.

We have home care from Homewatch Caregivers. I have a gastric tube, and the caregiver prepares the food and the medicine for the gastric tube. She also changes my bandages. I have been using them for four months. I like my caregiver’s reliability, accuracy as far as remembering instruction, capability, and pleasing personality. The service has been perfect. I have no complaints at all when it comes to quality.

I employed Homewatch Caregivers about 2 ½ months ago. I called upon their services after enrolling my grandmother at an assisted living home. The care at the assisted living home was very poor, so we brought my grandmother back home and employed Homewatch Caregivers. We actually employed them while she was still in the assisted living home. They came, they made sure she ate -- the thing that was a surprise to me was that they did her hair and put a beautiful bow in her hair. When we hired Homewatch, I swear it took like a day, and my grandmother looked like a million bucks. And it wasn't just pure aesthetics; it was also just being cared for. It was such a great service. The one that I really loved about Homewatch Caregivers was that they really worked with my budget, and they gave me a plan of action.

Elvira is a caretaker who works for homewatch caregivers. She has been a wonderful assisted living caretaker for my 86-year old Mother the past 2 years.
