We do Home Care Differently
Balanced Care Method: All caregivers are trained in providing care using Balanced Care has qualities such as daily exercise, proper nutrition, mental stimulation, regular social contact, and having a sense of calmness and purpose in living.
Cognitive Therapeutics Method: Developed to allow caregivers to provide daily mental activities that will allow all areas of the brain to work, effectively delaying cognitive decline.

Experienced Caregivers
Client Care Manager and Co-Owner, Debbie Waddell, accepts approximately one out of every 25-caregiver applicants. Background checks, reference checks, experience and skills are all completed along with a proprietary Caregiver Personality Screening test. The screening test is used to verify applicants’ suitability for the caregiving career by assessing traits such as honesty, kindness and conscientiousness. All caregivers receive both initial and continual training. Debbie approaches each client as if he or she were her own parent and spends time matching the client with the best-qualified caregiver for his or her needs and personality.

He is required to have a full-time assistant while he sleeps to make sure that he does not fall out of bed or hurt himself in any other way.

The caregivers are good listeners, and they really pay attention to instruction.
I like the availability of staff to help troubleshoot. I have had some quality caregivers sent through them. For live-in shifts, their pricing is pretty reasonable.

They could be a little bit more proactive when they are with my mother.
The company requires a minimum 4 hours and costs my mom a significant amount of money.

They make sure that the plan of care that is set up is followed. They check to make sure I am okay and provide standby assistance as needed. They provide me a hot breakfast. I don't have to continually remind them.
What they told me is exactly what's happening. Their caregivers show up on time every time. As soon as I signed up, the coordinator checked up on me to see if there were any issues, and she continues to check in.

They help me by being reliable and doing what we ask them to do, which is a little more cleaning. They have been very flexible with us.
I like that they have someone to manage the kids so that there is someone who goes between the caregivers and the clients. This makes things work really well. We switched to them for this reason.

Sometimes the consistency falls apart a bit, but they always notify me about who is coming and when. Sometimes it isn't always the person that I am expecting.

I really like the person I have now, but I don't know how long that will last. Sometimes they will change and give me a different caregiver unexpectedly.
I would definitely would recommend them, but I would tell people to really figure out what they need and want.

The services are critical for my loved one because he would not be able to function without them, and would possibly put himself in peril. For me, the service gives me peace of mind knowing that he is safe and taken care of.
We had a few issues at the beginning with getting the right person, but once I got someone to oversee the account, things worked out and we found the right provider.

Their fees are high and they are slow to respond. They are not very good at communicating. To find a caregiver when a replacement is needed is hard because they are slow. The caregiver we have now is great but she is the first one that we have liked.

The assistant has been very responsible and done everything I expect of her. She makes sure she takes her medications on time and helps her find things she needs. She assists her to get up for walks and by doing some light housekeeping to keep the dust away.

The caregivers that are good impact me greatly. They do not send the person I do not like again. They are friendly, cooperative, and competent.
They are fairly expensive. We have had a lot of different people come and some are good but some are not good.

I like the personal touch. In the initial interviews, they did a good job of assessing me. I started this service to get used to it before I needed more care. It is not impacting me as much as it will in the future. Hopefully, I will be healthy enough to not need them.

I think they are flexible in meeting my needs. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday and normally my caregivers comes on Wednesday, so she is gonna switch days and come on Tuesday instead. I would not try to live at home without having my caregiver come and help me. My eyesight is going and my caregiver helps me a lot.

The employees that they have sent have been very efficient, well-trained, and likable. Their staff is very good about calling you if there's any delays. A really important thing is that if I need to change the schedule, they can accommodate us.

I have had the same caregiver for a couple of years, so they have become part of the family. Home Care Assistance provides good staff and compassionate people. They have taken a big load off of my wife in my everyday care. They pick up the slack extremely well by doing whatever is need or requested.

I think it is easy to schedule and they are very responsive to needs if I need to change anything. It took some time to get a caretaker that is a good fit. They have been wonderful. The consistency of care is great.

I don't have that much interaction with them. I know we've been trying to find the right caregivers. The one that comes once a day every week is good, but we've had a hard time filling in the other days. It's a huge help for me to have someone take care of my mother because I live sixty miles away.

It is pretty easy for my mom to get replacement caregivers. There wasn't much lag when there was a change in providers. The main thing they help with is cleaning, which really improves her mood. They get her to the doctor and out doing errands.

I'm not called ahead of time so I know who's coming. I'm not able to get a consistent caregiver. I have someone new all the time. I would like them to provide ongoing service. I need people to go my grocery shopping, but several of them are unable to do that because they are unfamiliar with American foods.

I like everything from Home Care Assistance. The people over the Mountain View area are great. She is young, but is a really good representative. My aide is unbelievable, and we feel we have known her for years, even though it has only been a few short months. They are able to do many things that we are unable to do for ourselves.

I like the attentiveness of the people that I have been working with. They're very good and there when I need them and go about their business otherwise. I know that I don't have any problems that keep me from being self-sufficient, but I do need help with bathing and with my shoes in the morning. I do appreciate very much having them with me.

I would recommend Home Care Assistance because the people I've gotten are very helpful. Right now, I just call Home Care Assistance when I need them. Home Care Assistance helps me because they go with me when I have to go over to the hospital. I have really frail bones, so they open doors and keep the doors from closing on me.
