Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

The office staff starts off a conversation with "You owe us..." rather than "How are things?"
The current agency isn't as great at caring for clients as they are at collecting billing.

I like that there is a caregiver that is consistent, having one person that is consistent is huge for me. I do want someone to be able to come in on the weekends occasionally so I can also have time to for myself then and be able to get away.
I like that they send out people constantly and they let me have a caregiver that comes in that's hear often.

As long as I have a consistent caregiver, I'm happy. I have people I don't know that show up at the house without notice.
I dislike that their communication isn't great. If a caregiver isn't able to make it, I get a last-minute notice.

They should be letting people know they are not accepting Medicare. For two and a half months, they didn't tell me how much they were charging. Someone should have explained to me.

My mom is very hard to work with sometimes, but they are good at working with her. For the most part, things are really good. There have been a few caregivers that were not a good fit.
I like that they are quick to change the caregiver if they are not a good match. They have mostly been a good fit.

It has been very stressful for me. I never know from one day to the next whether he will have a caregiver show up. However, I have not been able to schedule any respite care.
They need to have better communication between themselves and me regarding scheduling. I tried to have respite care in February which I thought was taken care of and they left him alone.

My husband is blind and is 92. He takes whatever is given. He appreciates whatever service is given. He likes the service but a lot of times the cleaning is not being done as well as it could be. It started out very nicely, but after a while it's taken for granted.
They could give more training to their caregivers. I don't think enough attention is given to the very elderly. They send out good people but they aren't trained in very specific areas of managing the care they give.

One thing that the agency has done is that they were always there to help me and they always managed to get someone to come.

I need the services a lot because I'm in a wheelchair. I require more care than what I get. The caregivers don't finish their work when they come, and they don't listen to my instruction.
They've had a hard time getting me a caregiver who would stay with me.

I think that finding someone that is qualified as the present caregiver because I live on a dirt road and it is hard to get to me. She is an excellent caregiver.

The service had been a huge stress relieve. I injured my back in November and was not able to help my husband shower. Since we stared with the agency our caregiver has taken on the role to help him shower and that really has been a tremendous help.
The caregiver we have is prompt, she communicates well and she actually cares about my husband.

He was pretty happy, mellow, and peaceful when he had someone there with him. It was very helpful for me and my partner to get some stuff done.
I had a little bit of difficulty with someone that worked with my dad. At first we had someone, and then they quit. I did have problems with scheduling. If I had to call and change it for one day, it seemed to confuse them and it would mess up the schedule.

I am truly disappointed in their service, to be honest, and I don't think they could improve my position.
They started off very good, and the first worker they gave me was good, but then he failed his drug test so they fired him. They gave me a particular person after that that I would recommend highly, but I wouldn't recommend the others. They don't have the patient's interest in mind.
