I am using Visiting Angels - Mesa 3 days a week. They do the laundry. They do light cleaning in the house. They make my breakfast and usually lunch. They go with me when I go grocery shopping, to visit my wife, or to doctor's appointments. They go with me and get the mail. They do just whatever I ask them to do. One of the things that this particular franchise is excellent at is it's almost like a dating service, so to speak. They have caseworkers. Before you get any of the angels, the caseworker comes out and interviews you, looks at the home, looks at what's here, and selects somebody who will fit.

We used the services of Visiting Angels for two weeks before my husband passed away. It was great. I called them on a Friday and I needed 24 hour care, had it scheduled the next day. Somebody come out when he was going to be transferred from hospice and did continuous care after that. They were very good about the scheduling. Some of the caretakers they sent were more knowledgeable than others. We had one that we weren’t entirely pleased with, and they took her off the schedule right away after I had called them. They were good about trying to send the same people every single time. It was 24/7 care. There were a couple of people who were only here once just because they were having trouble filling some spots, but they made it all work out.

There’s a lady that helped mom from Visiting Angels. The caregiver helps her get up in the morning, bath her, and dress her. Sometimes she helps with the morning meal, and did light housekeeping. We are using them for about three weeks now. My mom likes her, and she is friendly. The quality of service was good, but what I didn’t like is they send a lady in the evening that didn’t cook. I don’t like that.
