About This Community
Home Instead is a non-medical provider of personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, errands, incidental transportation and even Alzheimer's and dementia care. Our CAREGivers encourage, assist, and stimulate our clients in a variety of activities that improve their quality of life and help them maintain their independence. All of these services allow a senior to stay HOME INSTEAD for a longer period of time.
Home Instead - Caregiver Skills
Safety training on home safety, avoiding injury and falls, preventing strain and pain, safety in the kitchen, cautious cleaning, safe driving, outdoor safety hazards, and disease protection and prevention.
Basic training on emergency situations including stroke, falls and fractures and sudden illness, communication tips including communicating to those with dementia or Alzheimer's, activities for seniors to engage in, mealtime preparations, housekeeping tips, signs of abuse, and tips on reducing caregiver stress.
Advanced training on understanding senior illnesses and conditions, depression in seniors, caregiver stress, in-home exercise for older adults, making mealtime fun, communication tips with the senior, their family, and the caregiver's franchise office.
Activity training including reminiscing activities, modifying activities, activities in facilities, adapting activities for those with impairments, different types of engaging activities for older adults such as gardening, mind builders, and crafts and hobbies, and getting a senior involved in the community in places like senior centers, worship services, volunteering and errands.

My caregiver is experienced, professional and most helpful with chores I’m unable to do myself at this time. She is personable and a good cook as well! The agency checks in on me (I live alone) and assures me I can call for additional assistance any time.

They make you feel upbeat, happy, no worries when they are here. They take good care if my mom, and they are excellent at taking you to and from doctor visits. The keep you smiling! You cannot be down when they are around! They go above and beyond to help you. They are always on time. They make meals for you, take my mom yo the bathroom. They are pro's at what they do!

I used Home Instead Senior Care Nov. 2019-July 2020. Their wonderful caregivers helped me care for my husband who has Alzheimer's. All the caregivers were prompt and personable, really became like family or good friends. Thier care and interactions with my husband were excellent, they knew what they were doing. And while they were there to assist my husband, they also helped me carry in groceries, fold laundry, make meals but most of all, were friendly and caring to all of us. Throughout my time with Home Instead Senior Care, I had to change the schedule several times and the office staff always responded quickly with understanding. If I had to use one word to describe my experience with them? AWESOME! I am blessed to have found them.

The folks at Home Instead handled the needs of my mother and I with a high level of professionalism and care. They were flexible as my service hours transitioned and followed up on a regular basis to ensure I was pleased with the care my mom was receiving. As for the caregivers themselves, both were awesome!
I highly recommend Home Instead and will use them again should I ever have a need.

Provided 24-hour care service after Mother fell and had a pelvic fracture. The care givers were absolutely wonderful both in care given and they cared. Mother loved each one as a companion. Anthony and Blair were absolutely fantastic and really run a great organization with fantastic leadership. Top notch people.

Home Instead Goodyear provides a caregiver for my mother. The caregiver has turned out to be a wonderful companion. The caregiver makes great meals for my mom. She also helps my mom dress in bed when she needs it on bad days in an uplifting and encouraging way. Initially, my parents were reluctant to take any assistance, but now, they look forward to the arrival of my mom’s caregiver.

I’ll admit to being somewhat reluctant to hiring outside help for my Mom but after experiencing the care and compassion they have shown I can only wish I had done it sooner. Blair and Anthony are the best and matched my Mom with the perfect caregiver. Karen is a blessing and has developed a wonderful relationship with Mom. I am not one to write reviews for anything but I know how hard it can be to make the right choices for a loved one and Home Instead in Goodyear is the right choice

My Uncle Bob was placed on Hospice before Christmas. after a month my wife and I knew we needed help.
Reached out to Home Instead and from the first phone call I felt the relief of a months worth of worry subside.
We signed up for the Saturday and Sunday personal needs care to supplament his hospice care,
The Care Giver was always on time, Friendly, and you could tell she genuinely cared.
she shared some of her life stories, and of course Uncle Bob loves to tell his. It was a blessing to see him smile.
Uncle Bob has always been independent and likes to do things "His Way". The Services provided by Home Instead offered him that Dignity in his Last Days.

Home Instead Senior Care - Goodyear has provide nothing but the best quality to our family. From the being Blair and Anthony were very responsive, supportive and provide personalized care for our loved one. The 1:1 experience to ensure that our family/family members were comfortable and the individual time each provided to ensure that there was an understanding of service and expectation. The caregiver Maira was very attentive and provided exceptional attention and care to our loved ones. I cannot say enough about them and would recommend Home Instead Senior Care - Goodyear to anyone who asks.

My loved one was dying of cancer. I was a 24/7 caregiver and needed some r & r. to help bathe and care for my loved one.
Melissa our caregiver was very good. She arrived on time. She was efficient, pleasant and professional. The agency was able to place her with me within a day of making my request.
As a retired RN, I think I assess the care giving
capabilities of a caregiver more stringently than the average person. I was quite satisfied with the care given.

My Mother In Law hired Home Instead (Blair) on her own to help care for my Father In Law. I never meat Blair or any of the care givers in person. I did visit several time with Blair on the phone. She was wonderful! She was perfesional, empathetic, and extremely accommodating to the needs of our family.
My Mother-in-law can be a difficult lady to please when it comes to her privacy in her home. She absolutely loved Jeff. (Care giver) would have loved to have him 7 days a week. When the second caregiver did not Wouk out with her, Blair had a replacement in no time. They were always on time and left information about the evening on the family portal so that we could see how things went. If we had not moved our parents into an assisted living facility we would still have Home Instead taking care of them in their home. I woul recommend this company to anyone.

Destiny and Jane looked after my mom when she broke her arm and took very good care of her.
Blair and Tony who run the business listen to their clients and does their best to meet those needs.
If we need their services again we will most diffently call on this company.

From the time we met with Blair until the end, her and her team did a remarkable job for us. Everyone that came into our home was very polite, respectful, caring and helpful. We had almost 24 hour care' I opted to have a few hours a day to myself and my loved one alone. All care givers were on time, every shift and helped around the house along with meeting the needs of the patient. I would recommend this team to help others that may be in the same situation I was in.
