About This Community
Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

My mom is not convinced that she needs help, but they take care of her and they ask her what she needs help with and they try very hard to meet her needs.
I like that they are reliable and they show up and they are professional.

Yes. She doesn't receive a lot of services - she gets help if she needs it, going out of the house, getting in the car or getting something for her.
The communication and they seem to be pretty flexible.

We only have a caregiver come once every two weeks, but it helps me immensely.
We have not yet had consistent caregivers. The first day, the caregiver was here for 15 minutes due to back pain. We got a new caregiver, and they got along great. Now, we've got a new person coming on Monday. The agency has tried very hard to find us substitutes.

They made it so I could leave without being worried. They also helped fold clothes. They played games with the client.
They helped him get his paperwork together and helped at a time it was desperately needed. The caregivers were mostly great too.

They have been a godsend. My husband does not get around well and we do not like to leave him alone for long periods of time. They shower him and that has been a main concern.
So far the caregivers have been well trained and very helpful.

It was stressful. The caregivers weren't qualified to handle Alzheimer's.
I would like quality people sent my way. I had trouble finding help that would be consistent. I would constantly train caregivers myself. They weren't qualified.

They could send us more experienced caregivers. It takes a lot of different skills, and they need to be trained in all of those skills. They should be able to meet all the requirements.
I would have liked someone who is more experienced.

They don't object to the companionship. Many of them only want 1 or 2 hours and don't want to be socializing with me.
I'm very satisfied with them. Their workers can take me to the doctors or grocery store and many places can't do that anymore.

I just need help sometimes with getting tasks done that have been assigned by the doctor because I need to have someone with me.
They were on time, the person was very polite, and the second time we used them, it went over the four hours. They were able to stay with me.

A lot of them just come in and go right to work and do whatever needs to be done without being told. They do a good job of it. Some of them are just like family to us.

At 95, a stroke required that we have help caring for my mother. Her doctor referred us to an agency and for the first year, we had wonderful help. For the last month of my mom's life, we were blessed to have Right at Home. Their commitment was far above that of the two other agencies. My mom was bed bound and required 100% care. Some caregiver have never given a bed bath or turned a patient, etc. except on a dummy. Right at Home committed to training on site if needed. They also provided extra help at times not usually done.

They got my loved one a wheelchair. They make sure the caregiver has all the supplies they need.
When the caregiver first started, they were paid to work for a certain number of hours, but then it was cut back.

Mother says the caregivers are very nice to her. Ravena is so good to fill in the gaps with other caregivers! With Rebecca's management, the company's heart is in the right place! She helps me around the house and is very good to me.

Rebecca goes above and beyond in her coordination of care for my Dad. I live out of state and she makes it easy to stay in touch with the care that my Dad needs. All the caregivers are friendly and caring. Thank you for giving me peace of mind.

You are doing good. I like my aide. She is very easy to work with. She does everything I ask her to do. She manages the time wisely and she is always on time getting here. She gets right to work and makes my coffee. If I need her to, she fixes my breakfast and helps me with my bath.
