I hired this agency to provide overwatch for an ailing parent. They were on the premises for approximately 50 man hours and I left some instructions for some light house work to be done. When I returned, the house work wasn’t completed and my tablet was in lock out mode. Among other issues this service was a waste of money but they did complete their mandate, my family member didn’t die on their watch so I guess I’m thankful for that.

Synergy HomeCare was good. They were very cooperative and flexible with our needs and communicated well. My father liked the caregiver a lot. They had given us a chart of some basic stuff she would do, and then I had sent a chart to make sure he's exercising and other stuff, but she didn't necessarily do the things I had written down for my dad's personal needs. The caregiver was like 18. She started out doing the chart, but then began slacking off. Mainly, it was about keeping him active, playing games with him, and getting him walking. But her thing was to let him go watch TV. If she was only there for three hours, I expected her to be really busy the whole three hours. Overall, my dad thought she was good.

Synergy was professional. Their managers were very thorough and they want to fix any issues if you have issues. They’re very willing to talk to you about them, to work them out and know that every family is different and have individual needs. They tried to work out scheduling and billing process. Caregivers came every day for about two weeks and then we realized we didn’t that much care and we haven’t use them recently because my daughter started to help us. But they were very consistent for those two weeks that I really needed some help.

I have a friend who had used Synergy Homecare before and had said they were good and had a good experience, so I wanted to try them first. So far, it has all been very good, they are very professional, and I haven't had any difficulties. They serve as companion for my mother and provide services like going to the grocery store, cooking a light meal, and light housekeeping.
