Right at Home provides personalized in-home care and support for seniors and adults with disabilities. Our caregivers are trained to help with everyday tasks that have become challenging. This may include meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation and other tasks. We offer services for those with special care situations such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementias; diabetes; stroke recovery; and hospice care. Custom Care Plan
We know everyone’s needs are different, so we create custom, client-centered care plans based on our unique five-step approach to care. We take time to get to know you by discussing your health history, physical and cognitive abilities, daily routines, and personal lifestyle and preferences. This conversation is important to us because we want to help you determine the level and types of care you need and match you with the best caregiver to help you continue to live successfully at home, or wherever you call home.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
When you choose Right at Home, you can rest assured that our caregivers will deliver the care you or your loved one needs. Every caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.

The caregiver is very calm and very interesting. She's been teaching my mom Spanish too. She also helps with my mom's medication.
I like that they are prompt, and the caregiver fits well with our needs.

Right at Home helps the client the most by assisting him move without tripping, giving him his medications as well as general housework.
One thing I would tell a friend about Right at Home is they made a great match with a caregiver for the client.

I called right at home 10 times looking for my dr office. This nice young lady answered the phone all 10 times name latricia. She was so polite patient and understanding. She reassured me it’s ok and helped me look up the number which she didn’t have to. It showed me that it’s some wonderful people in this world.

They are not always the same caregivers, but we like the one that comes on Thursday and Friday. I only had to show her the routine once. She talks to me when she comes and then takes charge. She helps with getting dressed.
It would be nice if they could schedule out more.

We don't use them super often, but the service was good. We liked most of those who came and provided the service.
They could just find someone that could spend more time. If someone doesn't show up, maybe there could be someone else.

I can't walk. They help with the bedside toilet and laundry. I would hang out with the caregiver if I wasn't paying her. I see her as a friend. She is brilliant and funny.
The girls who come do a great job. They don't always communicate with the girls or us. The girls say that they are going to come back tomorrow, but no one comes.

The caregiver came in about 7:30 or 8 and fixed breakfast and we had dinner later and which was very helpful for us.

Depends on the caregivers. Some of them are too helpful and some of them are not helpful enough. I need a good balance. One caregiver that was not a good fit got really frustrated with me and walked out and did not say goodbye.

It was more work having them here.
I would never recommend them. The first one showed up for a few visits and stayed on her phone most of the time and didn't do hardly anything. Then all of the sudden she didn't show up when she was supposed to. So they scheduled someone else, and she never showed up. So I gave up.

The most helpful thing is that the caregiver chips right in without asking, she washes clothes, vacuums. She does all the things we can't do on our own.

They consider certain holidays like Mother's day as major holidays and so they charge time and a half on those days.

I like the caregivers they send. They come twice a week to help for a half hour.
The way the billing is set up could be improved. The bookkeeper is extremely busy. I'm expecting to hear back from her sometimes and she asks if someone else reached out. Mistakes are made with billing. I got billing for another person before. I have to keep a close watch.

When the person is here and they are an able person to help my wife, things are good. There have been some that have come in the past who are not able to do the work that we need.
The main thing is being sure the caregiver is going to be here and be here on time as well as not having to leave early or come in late.

I have to wear compression hose and I have a hard time getting them on and off and they help me with that. They also monitor me in the bath and take out my trash.

I don't have a choice but to have help and I am satisfied. The agency decided it takes 2 people to help him and I'm charged double and I may have to cut down.
Some that come in are not friends and they are pricey.

Anything is a help. I can't help all the time so its good to have somebody come in and they seem to take instruction well. The caregivers have helped the most by just being there. Them just showing up is enough for me.
They are doing the best that they can. If they got somebody they'll send them. If they don't get anybody, they don't send them. The client says that the girls that do come are trained and everything's fine.
