I visited friends in Messiah Lifeways independent living and my brother-in-law was also there for rehab. He got excellent care, they have excellent food and we have no complaints. I felt that it was very pleasant, the room he had looked out on a nice scenery when I looked outside. I ate in the cafeteria with him, which was very, very nice. He was happy with his food. I have eaten there but was presented by the people who were hosting us. It was expensive but it's also where I want to be, the location is drawing me. They have restaurants, my friend wants us to come over and eat in one of the cafeterias, and they have a pool.

My parents lived there for many years and loved it. My mother went from apartment to assisted living to rehab to nursing care.
Rooms were nice. Staff was excellent.

My husband and I looked at three different residential communities over our 12 month investigative period. All three had great amenities and accommodations. Messiah Lifeways had the least expensive monthly fee. They had staff paying attention to our time frame for a move. Lifeways had the first available unit with two bedroom, two bath, and sunroom for our his and her computer work stations. The food in the cafes and restaurants is of good quality, delicious and the chef's and the servers are friendly. We are moving into our Lifeways place May 2019. Woohoo!

Messiah Lifeways (Messiah Village) is beautiful. They just built a new campus. There are beautiful buildings and surroundings. They have rental rooms for my sister if she wants to stay for a couple of days to visit her husband. If she wanted to consider moving in there someday, her application could be combined. They take excellent care of their people. They have a special room that is meant to calm people with dementia down, or people that have anxiety. It has special lights in there, music, and fountains, and they can make it dark. It's like a therapy room. The staff is very caring. They have beautiful facilities. They have four different restaurants in the place and a cafe. The food looked fantastic. They have activities for every level. They have various rooms for exercise, TV rooms, and a woodshop for the gentlemen.

Messiah Village was outrageously expensive, but it's a wonderful place, the places are beautiful, and the apartments are phenomenal. They offer everything, you name it, they got it. It's primarily for the rich retired lawyers, politicians, and big corporate people who have the money to go to a place like that. The food is lovely. They have all kinds of different restaurants where you can get a sandwich or a meal. They have all the amenities. They even have a saltwater pool, which is very unusual. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. The people were very happy. Everybody walks around with a smile on their face. They have lots of activities. I was born and raised in the area, so I know it very well.

My mother has been at MV for 1 year in a studio apt independent living. She is very happy here and I have been very impressed with the loving, Christian care she has received. Recently she broke her wrist and we were able to have inhome assistance immediately to help her dress and bath as well as help in the kitchen.
Everything is maintained and maintenance is prompt and efficient. As the only child I have peace of mind that my mother is safe and happy in her senior years.

My daughter referred Messiah Village to us. We’re on a waiting list there. The staff was very nice and very helpful. They have apartments and cottages. They seemed to have a lot of activities.

My aunt has been in Messiah Lifeways for 20 years, and she loves it. The staff all seemed very nice, accommodating, and knowledgeable. My aunt had a cottage to begin with, and the place is very secure.
They have bingo for their activities and more. Everything is just so beautiful there.

Except for Messiah, we chose not to go to the places we went through because of the fact that they don't have the long term care. My mother has funds once her house is sold, but that won't last forever. This place is amazing, but it is so terribly expensive it is ridiculous. I don't know how people can afford it, but there were a lot of people there. They wanted a certain amount for the apartment and another amount in escrow. She would be purchasing the apartment, but it does not include any meals. They do have extended care, but there is no way she would be able to afford that.

In general, staff was quite attentive, and caring. Rarely were we met with what appeared to be indifference, and these issues were quickly resolved. The facilities were well maintained, though the age of the overall facility is beginning to show. Equipment has been reasonably well maintained.I do not know how this is maintained in other facilities, but on 4 separate weekends, the buildings were on lockdown due to illness. My grandmother has often been unaware of these cases, and has been upset when we did not arrive as planned. The only real complaint from my grandmother has been that meals are served too early she has often eaten and been back in her room before 6pm, which she feels is too early.

My mother-in-law lived here for over 10 years. It is like a campus with many housing options. She lived in a studio apartment first and when she could not care for herself, she moved into a wing for patients with dementia. This facility has it all and she enjoyed living there. She was the shuffleboard champion one year! The old saying, "You get what you pay for," is true here. It was expensive, but the amenities and care were top notch. There is really a sense of community and they encourage families to be there for their loved ones. If I had to go to one of these places, it would be at the top of my list.
