My Dad was here for a few years until we couldn't take it anymore and pulled him out. As difficult as it is to have him live with us at home, we couldn't let him stay there any longer. He went in a happy, man who had a normal body weight for his age and he came out a nervous, sullen person who had withered away because of the lack of care he received. Apparently he was ignored and no one came to check on him. The food person would just bring in a plate and tell him they would be back to get it and never would. Plates would pile up from meal to meal. He had several falls, needed help in the bathroom and had a terrifying incident with another resident. Apparently residents wander around at night and my Dad fell out of the bed after waking up and finding a person standing over his bed staring at him in the dark. It's just sickening to think that these seniors have to live out their lives in this environment. I don't think my dad will ever be the same after that experience. Shame on those nurses for ignoring the most vulnerable.

Do not bring your loved one here. My family member is confused, but not a flight risk, not a danger to himself or others and they are insisting he be locked on a unit. He has never tried to leave, or wonder off so we don't feel he should be locked up. I tried to talk to them about the issue but was repeatedly ignored. They only want the money, they do not care about the residents or there family. I am talking about management, the nurses and staff are wonderful. The unit they want to place my family member on is the most expensive, of course. They are all about the money, not patient care!! Please research and don't sign anything!!!! You pay for your apartment, but before they use the money you already gave them for your care, they want to use all the patients savings. Once they deplete that then they use the money you already gave them. They just want to make sure the patient has nothing left when they pass.

Ann's Choice is a much larger community; there are pluses to that because it can offer a very extensive activity program and they even sponsor major trips, like to Alaska, which you will have to pay for. But because the community is so large, they can do that and all that kind of good stuff . They also have some kind of a hook-in with Boca County Community College, which is very nice. My only hesitation with Ann's Choice is its high-rise buildings, in which there are 4-stories, and the apartments don’t all have balconies.

We found a place called Ann's Choice. I was impressed with the staff, and I was impressed with the residents. I was impressed with the place! I was impressed with how everybody cares for each other. I looked at 9 different models of apartments. They have everything from a studio up to what they consider a large 2-bedroom apartment with a terrace. There are 43 different layouts all total because there are 13 buildings with 3 main buildings. All the buildings are connected; you don't have to walk outside in the winter. I like the people I met. I like the way I was treated by the staff. They seemed to have everything efficiently laid out, and everything seems to be efficiently done. There are people there to help you if you need help. There are an awful lot of activities. I'm interested in woodworking, so they have a woodworking shop. They have several different card clubs and book clubs. They have a pool and athletic facilities. You have access to a trainer. The community is right next to Warminster Park, so they have bike trails and hiking trails.

Ann’s Choice is a very large place, and they have all kinds of amenities. The staff was very helpful. The apartments were of good size, large, and had a had a lot of outdoor light in them. It was not really convenient from where I live.

The staff at Ann’s Choice was very nice and extremely helpful. The apartments were adequate. They had multiple dining areas, and they were very nice. It seemed like they had a sufficient amount of activities. This community was definitely on the larger scale.

This community is fine if you are very independent and of sound mind. They bend over backwards to get you into the facility and get your down payment. You will need to find another facility should your loved one need memory care or becomes ill. The ratio of apartments for independent living compared to assisted care beds is grossly skewed causing waiting lists for care. If you need to change facilities, they will charge you three additional months rent after you vacate and hold on to you interest yielding down payment for months or longer. Read the fine print...

Ann's Choice was way too big, and the people were not very friendly at all. It was very expensive, but it was a beautiful place.

Anne’s Choice is a good place but very expensive. They have an in-house doctor, give you tours, have two or three excellent restaurants with top chefs, and they have nurses, so there’s help for you if something goes wrong. It’s mainly considered independent living. You have to have the ability to go around and walk. It costs more for them to take care of you later on. It’s very lovely, very nice looking, and the people there are very fine. It’s top shelf, meaning it costs more. You have to have money to take care of yourself, too.

The one thing that sets Ann's Choice apart from similar communities in the area is its enormous size, which leads to a feeling of anonymity that is fine for some, but not for others. The facility consists of about fifteen five-floor buildings plus about four additional specialized community function buildings. Public rooms are pleasant in a "hotel" sort of way, and the grounds are adequately maintained in the summer (can't comment on winter). Apartments vary greatly in size, but tend to be a bit smaller than equivalent units in other retirement communities that I've visited. Apart from its hugeness, there is nothing that sets Ann's Choice apart from the competition.

The significant differences between those places that charge you a monthly amount and that charge you a lump sum amount when you move in and give it back to you when you leave – Ann's Choice charges a lump sum, which might be several hundred dollars.

Everything is wonderful and very good at Ann’s Choice. I’m very happy with the care there, the aides are very attentive and very caring. The place is very clean. There are activities every day, there’s music, art classes and visiting artists, musician or singers come to entertain.

I didn't like Ann's Choice at all. The only thing that I liked about it was that it had a huge complex, but their assisted living rooms were tiny. It just turned me off and I just don't have interest whatsoever. The staff was fair. They weren't as pleasant as the ones from the other places.

My mother was at Ann's Choice. The care was excellent. Her room was fabulous. She was very happy and she loved it there. Everything about it was good and I had no complaint.

Ann's Choice looked wonderful, it's very large and beautiful and it's almost like a little city in itself. The rooms were very nice. It's fairly expensive but it's top notch. The staff was very accommodating and the residents seemed very happy there.

They just completed the Renaissance Garden at Ann's Choice when I went there and it was filled already. I liked that it was all interconnected so you did not have to go outside the facility. If you were still driving, there were people who cleaned your car even in winter. There were housekeepers too for the house cleaning.
