We went to see La Posada. It is absolutely perfect. The setting is gorgeous, and everything about it is wonderful. But we do not want to go into a continuing care community where you buy-in. Our main objection is the buy-in situation where you actually buy in and then pay monthly. That is the only reason why we discounted it. Its location is fantastic. It is in the middle of a grove of trees other than the fact that it is pretty close to the Mexican border, and they have acres around it. They also have casitas which you can go into if you do not care to go into the apartments, and those apartments are well-appointed. It is just very appealing as far as location is concerned. It has all of the amenities that you find in other places, the staff is accommodating, and the food is excellent. Most of the places that we visited have an activities chairman, and they have a full schedule of activities. In the case of La Posada, some of the people still have tickets to the symphony in Tucson, and they will make arrangements to get you there and to pick you up after the symphony is over, if you wish. It is a slight extra cost, but it is worth it as far as that is concerned.

La Posada was lovely. I liked the separate houses. We don’t want to be in an institutional atmosphere, and it appeared like regular housing, so we liked that. We discovered that they’re far more expensive than we can live in at this point. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

My visit at La Posada was really very good, and she did a good job. The rooms were very nice, they showed us several condos, and the dining area was quite nice. We did see a foursome playing cards and people out walking, and it was quite nice. It’s very clean and well planned, and there were a lot of people all around.

My wife's mother settled at La Posada. The facility has a lot of infrastructure and the weather is very good down there. They provide transportation to town. She can play bridge with the residents there. She is happy because she can do things on her own at the same time she still gets assistance. They are wonderful people.

This facility, La Posada, is very lovely. I have nothing negative to say about this place. The only thing that would be a drawback is that the medical facilities in that area were not good. The staff were helpful, informative, knowledgeable, they were really very good.

I really like the peaceful orchards as you enter the facility. The staff is very friendly with updated buildings and shuttles to nearby places. The cleanliness of the grounds lets me know that they take care of the small details and probably the big ones. The residents seem happy with lots of games and things to do. Different buildings offer specialized care for the many stages and needs of residents. It's placed in a kind of oasis in Green Valley which is mostly desert around the campus but on campus is many acres of green grass and trees. I enjoyed the places to sit outside and enjoy the mild weather as well as the social spaces inside the buildings to catch up with a friend. Parking is plenty at every building although there is no covered parking.
