Bay Road Place was very nice. The rooms were larger, which was nice because the bedrooms could easily hold a full-sized bed, dressers, and everything. And then, there was also a sitting room. People had couches and love seats, TV’s, and some chairs, the bathrooms were a lot bigger, and each had a shower. They serve all three meals, and then they have snacks too. If people want to go at the back and maybe do a little gardening or something like that, they can. And they have some long chairs in the green house that people can go back there and sit down. The staff was very nice, and they’ve answered everything that I wanted to know.

My grandma has dementia and had been a resident here for a year but just moved into a new facility that opened. The first time I visited her there I took a tour and met the owners dog who roams the place. This did not make my aunt happy as she is allergic to dogs. They also have a nice dining room and had a set up where you can sit down and watch some birds they have as pets. After the tour I saw that there was a Bingo session starting and since my grandma and I played this when I was a kid, we joined the session. We had a nice time and they give the winners nickels. All in all this was a nice facility for my grandmother. The staff was kind, made sure she got her medications and took care of her. This was her first time living in a nursing home and it's hard for a person to go into one of these homes but the staff helped to make the transition smoother.
