From the minute we moved my mom into The Wellington she was at home. First of all, they allowed us to move her in a week before her actual room was ready. Then they made sure everything in her room was as they had promised. Janette personally saw to every detail and made sure both my mom and our family felt welcome. Consequently, The Wellington staff are like family to me. Who else takes time out of a busy schedule to take your mom out to lunch and treat them like they were their own mother? If you're in a situation where you need a place for your family member to be safe and loved, I highly recommend The Wellington.

The Wellington was a very clean place. The restaurant was nice and offered a variety of food. They had waitresses come by and they were nice. The rooms were of very nice size. What was also nice was my mother-in-law had the option to go down to the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or she could choose to make her own meal in her own kitchen if she wanted to. She loved it there. I liked how the staff interacted and showed concern for my mother-in-law. She was in good hands while she was there. Whenever we were there, we felt like we were in a home. The residents seemed happy walking around. They always had activities to do which she always enjoyed. Speakers came talking about different things, which I felt was really good because they were kept up-to-date with current events. She was always happy that they always had something to do, and they were intellectual activities. They were stuff that kept her brain going.

The Wellington director seems inexperienced.
The Wellington offers degrees of care.
When the director of Wellington said our mom needed more care, she Reccommended care that had a circle for her to walk in and another community. We had her evaluated and by two other communities and were told she could be on the assisted side with the more assisted package. The Wellington forced her to move out. They would not allow us to pay for that package that they offer too.
The staff has talked about my mom, in uncaring ways. The receptionist has told me and my sister no one likes my mom. My mom has felt very uncomfortable coming out of her room. I hope this review will be helpful to other families who are trying to decide where there loved ones will receive the help, the love, and the acceptance, they need .

We toured The Wellington for my mom. It was nice. The grounds, trees, flowers, and fountains make it a very pretty area. The staff were very nice, very informative, and polite. They also have very nice rooms with quite a bit of space. Plus, it has a nice view out the window.

Amazing place to put my parents. Staff is so caring, happy and helpful. Every-time I go to visit my parents it’s so welcoming and full of life there. Activities daily so they never get bored or feel lonely. Residents walking around saying hello along with amazing staff smiling and greeting me at every visit. I walk in and automatically feel as if I am a part of their family. This makes me feel comfortable and able to sleep at night knowing that my parents are in good hands. The concierge Barbara always greets me with a huge smile. Jeanette the marketer sold me on a great place to keep my parents. Cecelia is always running around helping everyone. She even helped me move some furniture for my parents. This is something I have never seen in an executive director. Donna the director of health services was so delightful as she did the assessment for my parents, and answered all my questions. Another great thing is when ever I have questions I get a response quickly, or if I walk in I always have someone in management available to talk with me. I have never found that in other assisted living facilities as I do here.
I will say if you want some where to put your loved one and to be able to sleep at night not worrying, this is the place to put them. I recommend The Wellington to everyone for their loved ones.

I'm hoping to move my parents to The Wellington in Salt Lake City. They have a 2-bedroom 2-bath which is what they wanted, and there are not that many rooms like that available in the area. I like the staff, the layout is very nice, they had occupational therapy and physical therapy on-site which was a plus. I haven't had the food yet but they have a very good presentation. The staff members are all really helpful and friendly. They had a pretty nice place to eat, they have a library, a billiards room, they have physical therapy, and an outdoor court.

The Wellington is where we ended up placing my mother-in-law. It's lovely. My mother-in-law needs a lot of support and they have set her up to get a lot of that. She came from rehab and they have helped her make that transition. The staff has been very friendly and helpful. The room is beautiful. She has a one-bedroom place where it opens up into a full kitchen, then the living room area, then a bedroom (which is a separate room), and then there's a nice spacious bathroom, and a very large walk-in closet. There are two nice big windows, so it is very lit up. It is quiet where she is. She really loves it. The food has been really good. Right now, they're in lockdown. My mother-in-law has only been there a little while, but from what I heard, the food is good. I've seen the list of some of the activities, but she hasn't been able to participate because right now they're in lockdown of course.

The Wellington is fabulous, and my dad likes it. The staff is responsive and sweet, and it's been a good experience so far. He's pretty sick, but they're taking really good care of him. The rooms are very clean, very nice, and very well lit. He's getting hospice care there. The food is very good. It's clean, there were no red flags when we toured. The people are friendly, and the residents are clean and happy. It's an all-around great place. They have movies, bingo, scripture study, lunch and shopping outings, and arts and crafts. It's exactly what we wanted and exactly what we needed.

We have been staying at The Wellington for one month. We chose it because of the spirit of the people here, and they seem quite happy. When we got here, they were missing an activity director, but they're getting a new activity director and we're eagerly looking forward to her. This place has a very few physical activities and hopefully we get some new great activities. We have actual bowling and Wii bowling, but that's about all the physical activity that we have at the moment. The food is the best yet I have ever seen.

We highly recommend the Wellington. Throughout the last 2 years, without exception, every person taking care of our mom - from the nursing staff, CNA's, housekeeping, kitchen staff and management - always go the extra mile to ensure every detail is taken care of. They are efficient, gracious and attentive. The activities and all facilities such as the kitchen, building and grounds are outstanding and well administered.
In particular, we wish to call attention to Jeanette C and Scott A for their personal and unparalleled involvement in every aspect of the operations and administration of the Wellington. The positive, generous and friendly culture they have created at the Wellington is clearly present and expressed by every employee.

This is an excellent facility. The physical facility is very nice and the building/grounds are well cared for. The people within the building do their utmost to make sure the residents are adjusted, well cared for and enjoying life. There is a great vibe here that isn't felt at other facilities

The Wellington is much larger and more commercial than other facilities I have visited, but it still had very friendly staff and nice, large dining areas. It seemed like a great place for senior living. They had a game room, card room, and a nice, big restaurant on the main level where everyone could eat together.

What a beautiful first impression. Me, along with two of my sisters & two husbands toured several facilities. We were looking for a place for our 93 year old Mother, who finally decided being alone in her big home was too much. Some we liked for different reasons. When we walked into The Wellington, the feeling felt by all of us was unanimous! The warmth, homey feeling was incredible. We were led through the facility by the Director of Sales & Marketing, Jeanette. She genuinely cared about our concerns. After working with her, we felt like she was part of our family. And to get 3 sisters to agree on ANYTHING,....can be a miracle in itself. There are 5 daughters who are fairly spread out covering 3 states, so it was very important to find a place where Mom can make friends and feel comfortable.
The Wellington is very clean, comfortable and reassuring. The apartment my Mother will have is beautiful. Just big enough for her to have her new life without any worries.
Everyone at The Wellington is very professional......very caring. We were shown the beautiful dining room (they have a chef and a menu!), activities room, library and more (I think my husband and I have OUR place picked out too!).
Thank you Jeanette for giving our family the confidence that our Mom will be well cared for. I can't wait for Mom to begin her new adventure.

The Wellington looked like a really nice place. The staff acted like they were positive and helpful, and it seemed like it would have been a nice place for our mother. The apartments seemed really nice and were just one big room with a bed, TV, living room furniture, and kitchen table.

We visited The Wellington, and it was a huge community. They provide all types of care. We looked at individualized apartments, and they are of a very nice size. Their bathrooms are handicap-accessible. They also have a kitchen area, where they have a regular fridge, a microwave, and a regular sink and kitchen cabinets. Overall, it’s very nice.

The Wellington was my very favorite; it was immaculate. The people working there were wonderful. I thought the rooms were great because they had full kitchens.

We are very happy with the care that my grandmother gets here. The food and activities are wonderful. They even have pets that come visit her in her room. She is a pet person but can no longer care for one by herself, so the fact that they bring dogs to visit her really helps. What we are tired of is the continued lies that Cathy tells us. She makes alot of promises she doesn't keep and drops the ball with simple requests. The new nurse however is right on top of things. We have seen a huge improvement in the staff and care provided since they hired Lisa. She is great and gets things done immediately. I would highly recommend this home for your loved ones.

The Wellington is a wonderful place. My mother has been there for a very long time. She gets great care, and the staff love her and treat her exceptionally well. The new nurse there Lisa, goes above and beyond. She makes the place run like clockwork, and the staff seem to really like her. She treats my mom like family. We have had a lot of disappointments with Cathy the Director of Nursing there. She makes a lot of promises she doesn't keep, and she makes my family uncomfortable, but with the addition of the new nurse, we do not have to deal with her now. We feel we get quality care for the price we pay. The food is wonderful, and the new manager is very kind and helpful

Wellington is a lovely place with nice apartments. My father-in-law resided there 'almost' two years. If your parent(s) is healthy it is a nice facility, but once medications or assists come into play you need to watch them carefully for med administration timing and PLEASE check your loved ones Emergency Call Button as dad's hadn't been working and he said 'no one ever came' when he used it; no wonder! It took a trip from CO to find this out! (This is imperative in a facility where seniors are prone to falls.) My father passed prior to mid-month... PLEASE be aware even in Death you must give 30 days Notice, I'd paid several thousand ($5K) for under 1/2 a month and got less than $900.00 back in the form of a refund; plus they take an upfront deposit so they make a ton of money on turnover (and at end of life makes it an unpleasant surprise for grieving families... My sister filled out the paperwork! The staff Are nice and work hard, but they are understaffed and under monitored. I'm hoping with the review this will change? Be vigilant for your loved one, which was hard for me out-of-state so I made frequent trips. The food is adequate; nice dining area. If your parent(s) are relatively healthy it's a nice facility, just make sure to stay 'engaged' and visit frequently. PLEASE Read the contract to be aware of the 30 day notice clause; had I known I would definitely have moved dad to a SNF for better oversight and use that money for 'his' care. It is a business, but tough on seniors with fixed incomes and death expenses. There IS a new additional RN there, Lisa (who was brand new and helped my father pass peacefully which was comforting). Monitor your parent(s) care/H2O and food intake, once they're gone they're gone.

We choose The Wellington for my mother. The community has a lot to offer. One of the reasons she chose that is the size of the bathroom. It is large, comfortable, and convenient for her. So far, everything has been great. The marketing director is right on top of things. She has really been helpful in making things happen and making sure that she is welcome by introducing her to people. She is in the assisted living. She has some assistance in showering, escort services to meals, and that kind of thing. They have tons of activities, if I can only get her to go to them. She has been there for a week now, and she is still very much adjusting.

From what I know, the Wellington is really good, but my parents are not in there yet. The people were really nice, it is big and open, and there is a lot of sitting area. The rooms are bigger and really nice. I actually only saw the model room, but it was a really nice room. It has a little stove in the kitchen. I know a couple of people who live there, and they really like it.

I enjoy the Wellington very much. I finally got the apartment after being on the wait list for a little while. The people are great, the staff is very good & the food is great. The maintenance people do a good job & the staff is very helpful. They offer rides for Doctors visits, going on Sunday drives, going to church, going to the swimming place, Each resident seems to have different needs & I feel that they do meet each ones needs.

There was a lot going on at The Wellington. It was kind of hustling and bustling. It was clean and really light. Everybody was really polite and friendly. They just worked very professional. When we went to visit, we stayed for lunch. There were people who lived there that came by, talked to my mom, and interacted with her. It just got a really good positive feel from it. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They took care of you right away.

Needs TLC. Saw many ceiling tiles that were stained throughout. I've been in there twice over the last year and it doesn't seem to have been addressed. They either have an active leaking roof or they do not care to fix things when they need it.

I've looked at The Wellington. Their apartments were very nice, but they were also very expensive. However, I like best the views from their windows. Everybody from the staff was fine. They have nurses and doctors which is pretty unusual in a facility these days. I just did a tour of the place and I didn't eat there but they did have a chef and the food was reportedly very good.

There are fantastic programs available. There was great food and enjoyable dining experiences! Competent and caring nurses were attentive and met our every need when dealing with grandfather's declining health. Grandpa had a lovely apartment with a kitchenette and balcony that opened to a small garden area. The activities director had age appropriate and mature events that the residents were actually INTERESTED in. They had current events classes, and a college professor who visited weekly to discuss political science and news. There was live music at LEAST once a day performed by talented artists from the local area and who traveled through specifically to entertain. They went on excursions to shopping areas twice a week, out to lunch every Friday, and to museums, theatres, and art exhibits regularly. My only negative comments would be: The management was not the most cooperative, and they were hard to get in touch with. The executive director was distant and difficult to communicate with. Everyone else was fantastic!

The Wellington - MBK Senior Living holds the distinction of being the first dedicated retirement and assisted living community in the area. It remains as inviting today as it did when they first opened their doors few years back as experienced by my grand father. Their cheerful atmosphere and carefree lifestyle is enhanced by welcoming, friendly and courteous staff. The facility features a private dining room, card room, arts/crafts room, library, spacious common areas, whirlpool spa and patio. The spacious apartment homes offer pond views, balconies, individual climate control, kitchens, patios, emergency call systems and step-in showers. And you won't have to worry about home maintenance or chores as the staff takes care of all that for you, leaving you time to pursue your interests. Staff is always committed to helping those with memory loss maintain their independence and dignity for as long as possible. My grand father in old age loved this facility and preferred to stay here till he expired. I have long association with the facility and love to come here time and again for meeting those who cared my grand father.

Unfortunately, this facility hasn't lived up to its hype. According to its price and professional reputation, I expected more personalized care. For one thing, they don't have an RN on staff nearly as much as they said they would. My friend's room was rarely clean. It was generally picked up, but lint was growing in the corners and my friend has respiratory issues. It's not serious, but it's definitely exacerbated by dust. The dust on his picture frames was seriously centimeters thick. Also the room smelled, like neither my friend nor it got cleaned often enough. On one surprise visit, I found some dirty dishes in his room way past breakfast time. However, by far the worst part is that my friend is often ignored and there are no activities to stimulate him. He actually said that he feels like the staff is just waiting for him to die. He's always had a flair for drama, but it's still unacceptable. He's since been moved to a different facility.
