My mother moved into Orchard Park of Permian Basin. She likes the Bible study that they do there. They have people making sure she gets her meals. The place is really nice inside. They have a really nice dining room, and it looks like the food is really good. It is pretty much top notch, I think. They do a really good job. They help clean her room and do her laundry. I'm pretty happy with that.
They have several patios. One has a big fireplace on it, and they all look really nice. There is also a library. Sometimes, they give facials to whoever wants them. They have somebody that comes by and cuts their hair once a month, if they want one. They also do their nails. They play bingo. They have exercise and activities. They have an activities director, and she is busy doing something all the time.

I think my mother would probably feel better at Orchard Park of Permian Basin because it's a smaller facility. It was very nice. I like the size. The facility itself was well-organized. The rooms were clean and well set up. The nurse's station was there at the entryway. They had a little social area at the entryway as well. The outside area had a lot of places to sit, visit, and enjoy the nature. It was a very large area.

Orchard Park of Permian Basin was very clean and very well organized. The layout of the place was nice. It's easy to get to and easy to find. It would not be very confusing for my aunt to be able to navigate through the facility. The staff was also very friendly and very caring.

We toured Orchard Park of Permian Basin. Their rooms were smaller, and their closets were smaller. I didn't really like that the independent living and the assisted living shared a dining hall. I didn't really like that I wouldn't be able to get in when I wanted to. I take care of my mom at 6:00 in the morning, but it was going to be difficult to get in at 6:00 in the morning. It was very nice and very clean. The people were very nice. Their rent rate was fine, but when you start adding the level of care, it adds up pretty quickly, and the rooms were smaller. Those who assisted me were great. They were very nice and very helpful. They followed up and checked with us. The biggest reason we decided not to go with them was the rooms were just a lot smaller. They have well taken care of rooms, they have some really nice courtyards, and they have activities daily.

Orchard Park of Permian Basin was great. We saw both the assisted living and the independent living. The director asked if we wanted to see the independent living as well, and I said, of course. I was very impressed with the director. She was just really friendly and informative.
The building would definitely be a 5. I was so impressed with the roominess of the living spaces that she showed us. She showed us empty ones, which was better because it's like shopping for an apartment. That was the only one that I saw that had that much living space inside of their rooms. I thought it was really great. The building and the room that she offered were definitely a 5. I didn't really meet any other staff, and we weren't there during dinner or anything.
Their dinners and what they offer the residents for nutrition were above and beyond. The staff told us that they get snacks as well as their regular meals, and that was very impressive. I did not hear that from the other ones. I didn't meet anyone else, but I was very impressed with the building and the director.
They had bingo, and the residents really love it. It was so funny. They want prizes like toilet paper and paper towels. They were very open about the visitation and about how families, daughters, sons, whomever are very welcome. They're very welcoming and inclusive, and I kind of like that. It seemed like nutrition was a big part of that area; of course, that's extremely important. We did not get to try the food or anything, but I was impressed with the variety and the amount. The residents would not be lacking or forgotten for snacks, breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

My grandmother has moved into Orchard Park. They have been great. They are really helpful and friendly. She is doing really well there, and it has been really good having her there. She gets all the care that she needs, and I don't have to worry about her. The place is very clean and well taken care of. It's very nice. She has an apartment, too. They play games, they have exercise class, they do crafts, and they have gardening. There are all kinds of things, and they just recently started to allow visitations; we can go in and visit as long as we are wearing a mask.

Orchard Park of Permian Basin was very nice but too dark, and people were not friendly. We didn't feel warmth or love. The room we saw was way too small and seemed confining. We also saw several different ways that mother could have tripped, like different flooring of carpets and borders. There were some safety hazards that we weren't comfortable with. The person who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable and informative. The place is well-decorated and some people might find it comfortable. It was just not a good fit for my mom.

Orchard Park of Permian Basin was a fairly new, nice, and clean facility. The drawback was the apartments don't have much of a living room. You can't fit a couch or a chair. It had a bigger kitchen area, but they don't cook, so they don't really need it. The person during the tour was very nice. The dining area was very clean. They had a painting class going on when I visited.

Orchard Park of Permian Basin had assisted living and memory care. You go through assisted living to get to the memory care center, so I saw some common areas but not a room. The people were very friendly. The foyer was very welcoming. The activity calendars were packed with things to do for both the memory and the assisted living. They had service dogs come in and exercise classes. What I liked is the calendar explained what that particular activity was trying to develop or encourage, whether it was a physical activity for health or whether it was memory enriching or intellectually engaging. Every activity had a purpose and I liked that. It was full from Sunday to Saturday in both facilities.
