The apartments at Brookdale Sumter were beautifully styled. It's almost like home living. The facility was nice, clean, and very refreshing. The lady was very informative and very intuitive. She listened and answered all our questions. She was very good. They have a beauty salon, transportation, and some other amenities.

Brookdale Sumter was very nice. What I liked best about it was they have just renovated. They haven't gotten their furniture in yet, but they have re-decorated most of the area. It is like the residents enjoyed it there. The staff was very nice and very helpful. They answered all my questions, gave me a card, and told me if I had any more questions, I could call them any time and ask whatever I wanted. The room I saw was small, but that's all my mom really would need, but I was expecting them to have furniture in the rooms and not have you to furnish everything. They had an enclosed garden area that they could go out to, and since the facility itself is kind of in a circle, they can't get lost. They told me that they also monitor the residents with a device that they wear all the time, so they know where they are if they're not in their room, which I thought was a very good idea.

My dad moved into Brookdale Sumter. Up to this point I've have no problems. They've been very on top of things, very efficient, and they do a lot better with communications. Right now they're under strict restrictions because of COVID, there's no in-person visit, everything is through the window. They told me that they have an Eat Fit, Be Fit program that comes in to exercise with the residents, but if that's happening right now or not, I'm not certain. The staff has been wonderful so far. It's beautiful on the outside, but I haven't been on the inside. I only met a few of the staff members, the director, and the nurse, and the marketing director, which I can absolutely brag on her because she has just been 100% helpful. What made my decision on choosing Brookdale had to do with the marketing director. She just went above and beyond, and I thought if the facility was everything she said it was, then that's where I wanted to put my dad, and I was willing to pay the extra cost to have him in a facility like that. She is why I chose Brookdale. She did a lot of things for me. Brookdale had all the pros checked off. At this time, everything has been nice, and I'm very pleased with what little bit I've seen.

Brookdale Sumter was very nice, and we had a very good tour. The clientele and the people in-charge were nice. Everything about it was nice. They had bingo and they could go on a bus and do different things. Security and safety looked fine.

Brookdale was very nice. The rooms were a good size. They have several different activities, like Bingo, puzzles, chess, and socialization. The staff was very helpful. The food was very nice, it was good.

Brookdale Sumter is the one that my wife likes, and it is a private pay. The hallways were named after streets, so your room could be on Sterling Ave with a mailbox outside, and your address is 322 Sterling Ave. When you went to dining, it was as if you’re at a restaurant. They always have three choices and a waitress would come to your table and ask you what you would like. The whole atmosphere was more like a community, and I very much like that. They had just remodeled, and they’re in the process of remodeling again. The remodeling part that they had done was beautiful.

The people at Brookdale Sumter are the most caring. They keep me posted on what happens every day and sent me pictures of my husband today because I could not go there. They take good care of him. It is a caring community, like a family. They have a parties and bingo, and the pictures today look like they are having a party because they have balloons. They take them to Walmart and different places and to the doctors. I just can't believe how great they are, all of them.

My mom happy at Sterling House, and I am very impressed, I have just been very impressed. The staff is really nice, professional, and friendly. They have a little garden in the center, they play bingo, they go Wal-Mart once week, and they take them to activities around town like concerts; they have a bus that takes them. They take them to doctor’s appointments, which is really helpful.

We chose Sterling House of Sumter for my sister. Environment is very good. It is very pleasing. Her room is very good. It is practically what she needs. It is not too large and not too small. It is a good fit. Their rooms are more like an apartment where they have areas that are segregated. It gives the resident the feel of an apartment. The staff is very good. The director there is extremely good. My sister likes their food. They also have recreation there. What impressed me about this facility are the cleanliness and the updated accommodations they have. I'm pretty much pleased with it. They work with you as much as they can.

We actually had my grandma at Sterling House of Sumter. The facility is very clean. The rooms are very clean and very functional. We didn’t try the food, but we were able to look at the menu. Grandma is very picky, but she loves the food there, so I think that is very good. They have a very good kitchen and dining staff. They do activities, and she enjoys them.

Sterling House is a beautiful facility. The rooms were spacious and the staff was very professional. The facility is very clean. I would recommend them to others.

I visited The Sterling House. The people were very helpful in giving out the information I needed and they gave us a tour. But I didn't know was that you need to furnish your own furniture. But I guess that they would want you to make it feel like a home. My folks liked what they had seen in Sterling House. I supposed if everything would work out, my folks would go there.

Sterling House seems like a good place for my father. We moved him there July 28th, I think. The staff there is very nice and courteous. They helped me through the process and it was a good experience. My father has a studio-type room and he likes it. It is more than he needs. The living environment of this place is really nice. The hallways are wide. My father can navigate around pretty good. With regards to food, I haven't eaten there but I talked to my dad and he said that it's really good. In terms of activities, I do know they have a person in charge of all the activities, but I'm not exactly sure what they do.

Sterling House of Sumter has proven to be a wonderful assisted living setting for my great-aunt. As her health got worse she began the search for a place where she could live a full life but there would be some around the clock assistance if something went wrong. At Sterling House she is thriving among a group of active seniors. She has made many new friends and her best childhood friend is now living there as well. Our visits to this assisted living facility have all been positive and we have been pleased to see that the buildings and grounds are always kept clean and neat. There is even a beautician on-site who fixes our aunt's hair once a week. 'Gotta keep up appearances for the men' is what she tells everyone. Bingo, card games and other activities are always on the schedule. In fact it seems that she is busier now than ever before. Painting and drawing have always been some of her favorite hobbies and luckily she is encouraged to continue her artistic pastimes at Sterling House. She has even gifted other residents and staff members with some of her artwork. The food is fresh and always looks very appetizing but we have not tried any of the guest meals at this time. Have to admit the grilled chicken and asparagus looked and smelled great during our last visit. According to our aunt, she could teach the cooks "˜a thing or two in the kitchen' but still she admits that the food is very good. Maybe the staff will allow some of the seniors to assist in the kitchen one day soon.
