My sister was there a few weeks recuperating from a fall at home. Everyone there were so passionate and caring. She had a beautiful room , she enjoyed all the meals that were served and had many social activities to join in if she was interested. She was very happy there and we were so relieved to have her being taken care of until she felt better to return home.

Wingate Residences on the East Side was lovely. The rooms were very nice and it was definitely fancier than the others. The person was very nice even though I told her I had a deposit elsewhere, and she gave me some information that I would have needed in helping my mom. People were doing activities when we were there. It was lovely.

I love Wingate Residences on the East Side. My dad was all set to go there, but he got sick. Wingate was probably the best place. There was something about the atmosphere that I really like. They had many activities, a book club, and activities were very good. If I have to choose for myself, I would go to Wingate. The people were lovely and the place was very nice. Even though my dad didn't stay there, I'm still getting little messages from them. They had very good communication.

Wingate Residences on the East Side was very nice and very much like a hotel. The staff was very attentive to our tour and very nice. It seemed like they had a daily schedule of nice activities to do, like a pool and exercise program in an exercise room.

My father moved in to his apartment at EPOCH around mid-May 2014, after an extended time in a nursing facility. He was eager to have a little more independence after the restrictions of nursing care, but he was quite frail and my brothers and I knew the transition might be too much of a challenge after the comprehensive care of a nursing facility, but we wanted to honor his wishes for a better quality of life. Beth was particularly helpful in answering all of our questions and supporting our efforts to bring Sam to Epoch. Right away, we all loved the physical space of the EPOCH facility; the pretty, open, common rooms, the spacious apartment, and the beautiful sunny patio with the view of the river. We also always felt so welcomed by everyone, the women at the front desk, the kitchen and dining room staff, housekeepers, nurses, physical therapy folks - everyone seemed so gracious, helpful, and genuinely invested in helping my father have a good experience. The staff were always available and attentive to my father's considerable needs (and sometimes considerable demands), and they seem to go out of their way to make sure his apartment was clean, that he made it to meals, and that he was clean and ready for each day. We also took such comfort in Linda's firm, caring expertise in overseeing my father’s condition. My Dad had a lovely, but brief time at Epoch, and sadly, after two good months, he died peacefully of congestive heart failure. In his last days, we were impressed by how often members of Epoch staff would come by to express their heartfelt affection for my father and concern for us in this difficult time.
