We went to look at Juniper Village at Forest Hills, and it was lovely. I would like to stay there myself. In the first place, it took my breath away. It looked like a gorgeous, gorgeous place to be. Everything was beautiful. It is ideal, and it's everything that anyone could want. It was like stepping into a mirror and coming out on the other side in this beautiful mansion is what it reminded me of. The furniture was gorgeous. Everything was clean. It was decorated beautifully. It just felt so good. It was small, but it was elegant. Everybody should be offered a place like that, really. I'm happy for the people that are there and get to appreciate it. If anyone sees it, they would want to be there, that's for sure.
They didn't serve us a meal, but they had a really beautiful dining room. There was a little snack bar kind of thing that you could go and have a milkshake or ice cream or something like that. It's set up like you're going into a wedding reception. It's so nice, really. The people that work there were almost invisible, and they don't tower over you, but they're there. You see them, you hear them, and they communicate. It's just so pleasant, calming, and wonderful. I just keep bringing this mental picture up in my mind, and it's so soothing.

We visited Juniper Village at Forest Hills and it just seemed very nice. They had a lot of activities to keep my grandfather busy. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. They have a dining area that is open 24 hours. The facility is clean and well kept.

My mother moved into Juniper Village at Forest Hills. I think it's a good place, I think it worked pretty well for her. I have no problems whatsoever, and they're very accessible to us. The room that she's in is very nice, I don't know if she's going back to that room, because she will come from the hospital, and she needs more care. She has a nice, big room with a view, she's pretty happy with the food, and the living atmosphere is pretty good. I have not seen her in too many of the activities, but she's in some of them, and they seemed pretty well gauged to her age and level. I have no complaints on that either. She was there for almost a month before she went to the hospital.

My dad is living at Juniper Village at Forest Hills. It's OK, but they don't quite live up to their reputation. They're better than a lot of places, but not as good as what they're advertising, so I'm a little disappointed in that. The amenities are not great but good. My dad's room is smaller than what he left.

Juniper Village at Forest Hills has so far been very positive. My father is being a little more active, they're taking care of his medications, and he hasn't had any complaints. He participates in physical therapy and he has gone on at least one outing. They have people come in to entertain, and my dad goes and watches them. They also have church services and he attends those. The place is very clean and they seem to have a lot of people working there to look after the residents. They're very good about giving my dad his medications. They just seem to be caring people.

The team at Juniper Village works very hard to ensure each resident is cared for in a way that is individualized.
The Administrator's responsiveness and involvement are above and beyond.

Juniper Village was an older facility, but it was close to my brother. Everyone was nice, there were private rooms, the staff is nice, but the facility needs updating.

My Uncle Albert lived at JVFH and they took care of him, watched over him, and loved him as if he was "family." The staff didn't just "go through the motions" they really and truly cared about my Uncle. You could see that in their eyes and in their actions. It is an excellent Community.

I didn’t really care for Juniper Village. They weren’t too helpful, and it wasn’t as clean or as nice as the other place I saw. One lady showed me around who was OK. They had activities, like bingo, games, Wii, and things of that nature.

My dad settled in to Juniper Village at Forest Hills, and it worked out well. We were impressed with the people that we met, and we were greatly impressed with the size of the rooms compared to other places and the amenities that they had. The maintenance seems good so far.

My sister Alice and I wish to thank you for the past five years my sister lived in your Community. Juniper Village turned out to be the perfect place for her. Just enough of North Braddock and the exposure to the "outside" that she needed to extend her sheltered world. It took her awhile to adjust but with the aid of Juniper's staff, she made progress and enjoyed her stay.

Juniper Village was very nice and where we want to go. It seemed like a family. The staff was friendly and seemed to know everybody, so you can tell that there isn't much turnover. The rooms were fairly good-sized. Everything was clean and neat. They took into account that that they're helping people get washed up and showered, so the size of the bathroom was larger. The size of the kitchen was smaller than the other places I saw, but that's OK because my parents don't need a kitchen. There was a nice outdoor area. They don't have a gym, but the majority of the people there don't need it. They had bingo, exercise time where the staff work with the clients, movie nights, trips out to places, card games, and a lot of baking.

Juniper Village at Forest Hills was a gorgeous, really beautiful facility. It was more expensive, and the rooms were smaller. I only had a contact with the lady that gave me the tour and she was very helpful. However, they did not have any vacancy there. The residents looked very comfortable. There were people coming and going, and a bible study or rosary being done in one room. The dining area was really nice, and the room was nice, too, but small, the smallest of the rooms in the places that I saw. It had an area with a sink, a cabinet, and a little refrigerator.

Juniper Village at Forest Hills has provided a caring, active and warm home for my Aunt for the past 6 years. When I discovered she was in the early stages of dementia and couldn't care for herself I researched various facilities in the Pittsburgh area and in New Jersey where I live. Juniper Village at Forest Hills far surpassed other memory care facilities with their lovely facility, caring and professional staff and mind and body nurturing environment. I have been so pleased with her care and comfort. The staff reaches out to me with updates and concerns. She has friends here and everyone looks out for the residents. I highly recommend Juniper Village if you are looking a home for your loved one. I often refer to my aunt's residence as the "country cub".

My parents moved to Juniper Village when it became difficult for my dad to take care of my mom-my mom had dementia. The staff was WONDERFUL! They were able to identify my parents' needs and tailored their care to meet those needs. Staff was always available for any questions or concerns I had. But, most importantly, they treated my parents, myself, and my siblings with dignity and respect.
I am a Geriatric Care Manager and I recommend Juniper Village all of the time.

If you are looking for the highest quality care for your senior family member, Juniper Village at Forest Hills is the place to go - warm, welcoming, clean and compassionate. My family is so thrilled with the care my father is getting at Juniper, that my cousins just moved my aunt there, too. Now we all have peace of mind!

The reason why I would choose Juniper Village was because my sister was into early dementia and I was looking for a memory care place. It was a very nice place, and I knew the care was very good. I had an acquaintance who was there, and she's very happy there. I thought my sister would be happy there if we had to go there. I knew they had activities and a crafts room. I talked to the director, and they said that they would take her, if need be, immediately. The environment was lovely. I just thought the care was very good there, and I didn't have that feeling that I was in a bad nursing home or anything because it was a lovely place and it was in a nice environment.

My mom is at Juniper Village. The place is very nice. It is very clean. They do have a lot of variety of activities. She just moved in a week ago. Their rooms/apartments are very nice. My mother is in a grand suite. It is very nice. It is spacious. She has a lot of windows. It is very bright and cheery. The food is all made in-house. It is not brought in. It is very good. You can have a variety of things. They do have a main course everyday, but you can order a sandwich or something like that everyday. Regarding security and safety, they do lock the doors every night at 8:00, and there is somebody at the reception desk. They're pretty good about getting people to sign in and out. Someone was asking about a resident, and they wouldn't give them any information. They do adhere to privacy and things like that.

My mother-in-law and father-in-law ended up going to Juniper Village because it was nearer to where we moved. The staff was attentive, professional, and really caring as well. They had a private room with their own bathroom. They had different sizes of rooms, so from a very small into a larger room. They had a dining room where they had menus that they could choose their meals from. There was an alternative menu in case they didn’t like the things that were on the regular menu that was on everyday. They had enriching activities as far as bingo and singing groups. They would have people come in and give talks. They had church services. They had a beauty parlor and podiatrists that would come in. It was a really nice place.

Unexpectedly we found ourselves trying to find an assisted living facility for our 87 year old mother who had fallen at home and could no longer live in her home. Juniper Village was the second place we considered and it stopped there. We love the setting of the location, easy access while in a beautiful wooded area, small and personable. The care is excellent, aids are friendly, helpful, respectful and courteous. When you walk into Juniper Village there is always something interesting or fun going on. The facility always seems fresh, clean and tidy and the staff personable and engaging. I would not hesitate to recommend Juniper Village at Forest Hills.

My aunt lived here for the last 3 years of her life. She entered into assisted living, then moved to the dementia care wing after 2 years. The staff at Juniper were wonderful -- very caring and attentive. The facility was nice, and had a more intimate, hands-on feel than most of the other places we looked at.

I'd really rate them a five plus. One of the things I really like about Juniper Village was the activities that they had. There were many activities and there's a very warm feeling. I had thought that my mom would come to Pittsburgh and possibly to Juniper Village and then she said she couldn't leave her home. I was so disappointed. But they were very, very supportive of me. I had no problem with getting my deposit back. They were at their word. They didn't hassle me. I bumped into one of the women at the fair one day and she was very, very cordial. She asked if my mom has changed her mind yet and I told her not yet, but I told her to keep her file.

Juniper Village at Forest Hills was a beautiful and clean place. The staff were friendly and they served ice cream. They had nice shared rooms. However, it was located along the highway and the traffic was bad in the area.
