There wasn't anything we liked about Bayberry Place, nothing. When we got there, there was a girl coming out the front door and she said, "Hold on a minute, I'll be right back." And she went and had a smoke with two other girls, and she came back and asked what she could help us with. We said, "We're here for a tour," and she said, "That's me." She took us in, it was very dingy looking. There were boxes everywhere, like the entranceway. When we walked in, it was very hot inside, and she had said that their air-conditioning had been out for a while. The color scheme of the place was very drab. I saw not one person walking around there the entire time we were there. She took us into a room, and I know that what people bring in is their own, but what is in there is like staged furniture. It was too big and too dark for that room, so it was a very unimpressive room. It just felt like you were walking into almost like a dungeon. There is nothing bright and likable at all about that place. Before we were getting ready to leave, she tried to convince us not to go further with making attempts to get in there. She said, "I wouldn't put my mother in here." I'm thinking that she works there and she's telling me that she wouldn't even put her own mother here. She told us not to look out the window because all we would see would be weeds.

We visited Bayberry Place. It was a little bit small, but it was very nice. The room was similar to others, but maybe a little bit small. They were not quite as large, but they were very nice. The place was homey. The dining room was more like a family dining room with several tables.

My parents were at Bayberry Place. I like that it’s small with only 24 apartments in the place. The cleanliness was good, but the food needs some work because they feed seniors food that they have trouble eating. The staff was good.
