Above & Beyond Senior Living is an independent living community with many features that promote independence without the stress and commitment of maintaining a home. Floor plans include private suites as well as one and two-room apartments, and weekly housekeeping and linen services are provided. Rooms come with emergency call systems, with each resident receiving an assistance pendant so that the staff can be called at any time for any reason. Daily visits by staff ensure the health and safety of each resident.

Each room comes with a large-screen television, and many have patios or balconies to enjoy the sights of Allentown. Resident events are held almost daily, and a communal sunroom and sun porch offer socialization year-round. Residents can tend to their own fruits and vegetables in the raised gardens on the property.

They are fabulous. Above & Beyond is a great place. I am so glad that we took mom there. They are very caring, she is safe and happy, and they are great people. The food is wonderful; it is all homemade.

I had to find a place for my father as he declined, this was very difficult Karen and above and beyond was most helpful explaining everything. I'm so glad we chose above and beyond the staff truly cares about the residence, and the food is wonderful!

I moved my mother to Above and Beyond at the end of May. My aunt visits often because it's convenient for her. She hasn't been there long enough for me to really see too much, but so far everything seems to be good. It's very nice, clean, and not a huge community. Her geriatric doctor is on staff there, too. Everybody seems very helpful to her. The owner and director are very friendly and very informative. In addition, you get to choose your own meals. She gets 3 good meals a day and snacks in between. They have tablecloths on the tables in their dining room. Everything is included in what you pay for: laundry, cleaning, scaling, TV cable, and phone hookup.

My mother-in-law is a resident here. The office staff and wellness staff (in particular the woman on day shift at the front desk) are excellent and know me/us and who I am related to---they are very helpful, accomodating and caring and really work with us to provide the best possible care for her. The aides do a good job of personally caring for her too.
