Michaux Manor is set up beautifully and everyone is very nice. My mother has been difficult, but they have been trying to deal with her the best way possible. I would definitely recommend them. She's in a private room and it's large enough for her to have her queen-sized bed, one nightstand, recliner, and dresser. The community is located in the mountains, so the location is a little bit out of the way, but it's a beautiful drive. I like that it's not off of a busy road unlike other places, because she had tried to leave one night and it would have been dangerous. The food was fine, and my mom hasn't complained about it at all.

My parents were just moved into this facility. Everyone I have talked to that had parents there rave about how great it is. The staff are friendly and fast to respond to needs. If you are looking for a homey, beautiful location facility with caring, qualified staff. THIS is your place. They provide so much more than many Assisted Living Facilities. Activities, great food, exercise, outings, craft fairs, on site baking allowed by residents, laundry services, on site hair stylist, doctor and podiatrist. They even offer bed linens, towels, and personal toiletries. Medications have been on time and efficiently handled. I couldn't recommend this place any more than a 5, but would even go to 10!!

I was in this facility in a professional setting, the facility was always very clean, the residents seemed to look very happy. The activity boards were full of interesting and varied activities. The interesting thing about this facility is it looks like it was a renovated elementary school and it has a really neat look to it. It is in a very picturesque mountainous region. Staff was very friendly and sensitive to residents needs and responded fairly and appropriately to the special needs of their residents.
