My daughter and I visited the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown and we liked that a lot. It's extremely "Romanitian" and the maintenance is impeccable. They even had a little country store out there and they're in a rural area. They have everything from a single room to an actual cottage a couple can buy. They pretty much have it all and I've been to Mason for many years myself so they were my first thought, but the cost is extremely high. We're looking at $5,000 or $6,000; the entry fee alone is expensive. I did not meet a lot of staff, I just met the administrator, and she knew everything that I asked.

My visit with Masonic Village at Elizabethtown was very positive. They were very informative and answered all our questions. Everything we've heard about it was really quite positive. The facility was lovely, and the units were a little small, but it's probably has what we need. It's nice and quiet and close to Hershey, so we could drive and see our friends there. The facility was great. The tour was wonderful. The people I met were lovely. I really haven't heard anything negative. I've had lunch with somebody there, and the food was excellent and varied. I didn't hear any complaints. It was more than enough food than people our age need. They had everything from roast beef to shrimp to various salads, and lovely desserts. I don't know how you could do much better. It's gorgeous. They had a very large acreage of greens that were very well taken care of. The townhouses and the apartments were well maintained. I know a lot of people living there who are very happy. It's located in a quieter area.

Masonic Village at Elizabethtown was excellent. It had all the different levels of care. The staff knew what they were doing and were very professional. I had an opportunity to have a good lunch there. They keep things well manicured and had a nice garden. They had all the amenities and different activities there. They also have a couple of buses to take residents on trips to playhouses and shopping.

Masonic Village was very clean and very friendly. They had a person show us all the things that would be applicable to our brother and sister-in-law. They were very nice and accommodating, and explained as much as they could. They have to go into personal care, so they will have a large double room that will hold a couple. They have single rooms, but this one will have two beds, two bureaus, two night stands, two recliners, a TV stand, a desk, a walk-in closet, and a walk-in bathroom, and then there is still a little more room for anything personal that they would want to bring along. I like the size of the bathroom for them because it is better than the one at their apartment, and everything would be brand new, so that impressed me. They have an activities calendar. People can do things, but they don’t have to. They have all kinds of classes, do knitting or puzzles, and they have something to do every day. They have a spa and a swimming pool. It is a huge place to help anybody at any stage, so this is why we really like Masonic.

Masonic Village was a lovely place. It was absolutely beautiful but a little financially out of our reach. Inside was immaculate and very luxurious. The staff was very accommodating. I did observe activities, but I didn’t go into detail because of cost effectiveness, so there was no sense of taking up more of their time or mine. The dining area was exquisite. You definitely get your money’s worth if you can afford it. However, it was not cost effective nor something that my mother could afford.

Masonic Village is run by the Masons and has all kinds of help. You do not have to be a Mason. If you put your name on the list and someone backs out, you could be asked to come. They have something for all five stages as you get older and have problems. It’s excellent. The people were pleasant and very helpful. The rooms were adequate, but the personal cottages were nice with some including a garage or a patio. You can have a very nice lunch with lots of choices served personally. The staff was fine, hard workers. I saw a bible study meeting. They had a music bar where they were talking about football and politics and a gymnasium in another part of the campus. The grass is beautiful; they keep the shrubbery nice. The inside of the rooms were very tastefully decorated and had pictures on the wall.

The apartments at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown have multiple floor plans, two-bedrooms, and beautiful layouts. You get a one meal per day food allowance or a 30-meal allowance per month, so I can use my meal tickets for dinner and just prepare my own breakfast. Also, I get a light cleaning every other week. It is a very big complex with many shaded areas and wi-fi. In that same building is a large function hall, a cafe, and a formal dining room which is beautiful, and I don’t have to dress up if I want to eat there. They have a library, a mini-market, a gift shop, and a bank all in one building; I never have to go out the door. I can go to the swimming pool and in the summer go to the garden and get a little pot to plant some stuff. Having the food allowance is great. It gives me options; I can use up all the meal allowance for 15 days or I can use it any way I want. And because I am handicapped, the cleaning will help me on a few issues. Those are the reasons why I am choosing Masonic Village. They also have dental and medical clinics on the premises.

My husband's grandmother went to Masonic Home. It's a nice facility with beautiful surroundings. They have everything in there, like you can have your nails done and that is very nice.

Staff is fantastic. A little difficult getting them in a room together, and now they are getting moved around whilr renovations are being done. All in all they are happy, and we are happy with the service even though it is expensive.
