Spring Village at Pocono was the first facility I looked at, but it really was not exactly what I was looking for. I'm looking more for an apartment type situation, and they were more of shared rooms or single rooms. It was a very nice place. They do have memory care on the upper floor, but their assisted living was basically single rooms. The residents all eat in a dining hall. They don't even have kitchenettes or anything in the rooms. It was big for a single room. The facility was nice. They had a couple of common areas where people could go. They had a wonderful activity schedule. They had a little general store where the residents could buy little things that they might need. In the lobby, they had a Christmas tree, and the residents had made ornaments on it that were absolutely beautiful. The woman who did the tour was wonderful. She answered every question, and even offered some advice once we decided it wasn't a good fit. So, I thought that was very nice of her. She went above and beyond.

Spring Village at Pocono was a bigger facility. They're very organized. It seemed like I got a nice tour when we were there. The staff seemed to be very friendly. Off the top of my head, there are about 100 residents in that area. They have a lot more on the amenity side, with bigger areas like a gym and a big dining room, that type of thing. I can't say I didn't like anything about it. It really was a very good second choice for us. Another decision maker for us was the location. The other place is closer to where we live, which will make it easier to visit my mother, as opposed to the Spring Valley, which is a little bit further away. It was very organized. It was definitely something I would have been happy to have my mother in. The staff member who toured me around was definitely very friendly. It seemed like they were very interactive with the residents that were there. Bigger facility. Good tour. They showed us samples of the types of rooms and living areas that were available, so that was good. They have a courtyard, a gym, and a big dining area. They're handling a lot more residents there.

I went to this facility looking for care for my parents. I visited 3 more facilities after this visit and I must say, I was totally impressed with this place. It looked immaculate, people were friendly, lots of activities, and I wished I could live there! I would have placed my parents here but unfortunately; their finances didn’t allow for them to be in this facility. We were looking for a facility that would take Medicaid. I was very impressed.

I had gone to Spring Village at Pocono. The tour was fine; I got good information. There was one large room available and that was it for now. It was just one room, but it was large enough where my sister and her husband could fit the queen size bed, and they could fit their dressers. The closet space was kind of small in that room, but there was room to put a little sitting area. We were told that if they insisted on bringing all their clothes, they would accept that. They would just have to make some sort of accommodation for that. We were able to see a one-bedroom because there's a woman who lives there that is very kind, and she lets them tour her room, which I thought was just lovely. So that was a one-bedroom, it had a little living area, a kitchenette with a cabinet and a sink. It was lovely. She had a lovely little entranceway, and she had pictures. There was her living room area and then the bedroom area. The bathrooms were not quite as large as the other facility, but they were OK, and they were acceptable. If someone had moved out, then my sister and her husband would then have the opportunity to get a one-bedroom, but there was nothing available at this time. That was the only thing. The large room was going to be available in February because the woman was moving to a different state. They had a lovely little common area that you could use like if you had your relatives there for dinner, and it was really beautiful. We were told that someone was living there that couldn't make a wedding, so they kind of brought the wedding there. It was nice, very comfortable and. The decor was very nice, so we were impressed by that and we liked that. The tour was very good. The person that toured me was very knowledgeable, she answered all our questions, and she was very helpful. We saw the menu that they had. It looked very nice and then if you didn't like anything, they did have another little special menu if you decided that you wanted that.

My mother is in Spring Village at Pocono. All the people there were nice. The place itself was clean. There's a lot of activities and they made my mother feel comfortable. The room was the size she needed and it was within our price range. It's a medium-sized room, and she's by herself. It doesn't have a kitchen (just a bathroom). They have crafts, bingo, board games, they have an area with books, a game room with a large TV, a pool table, and individual tables for whatever they want to do, like play cards and do puzzles. There's a gazebo outside and there are paths around the place, so if they want to walk around they can. So far, my mother likes the food a lot.

I toured Spring Village at Pocono for my mother. She needs professional nursing care, but initially, it was assisted living. I thought it was lovely. It looked very comfortable, very well run, and very clean. I saw the room and for shared rooms, they were a very nice size. They let you bring your furniture as well, which I think was a bonus, like a chair or if you had any personal furniture that you wanted to bring. They also allowed some pets on site and that was nice. The staff was excellent. I think she was the director of communications or something, and she was wonderful. They had several activities available, and they had a room specifically for activities. They had a nice little library and a little movie/TV room which was also very nice. They also had a nice little country store that the residents can go into when they want to purchase a small item, whether it's greeting cards for someone or a small snack. I thought that was a very nice feature for them. They had a nice dining room area that wasn't open at the time because most of the residents preferred to eat in their rooms due to COVID. They also had a nice area that you could have a family gathering in which I thought was also another lovely feature. I saw the menus and they looked nice. They always had alternatives for the residents if they didn't like what was on the menu. Their activities calendar looked good, too.

I took a look at the Spring Village at Pocono. They were a bit understaffed, from what I could see. If they can't deliver on the amount of care, I'd rather see what other places have. I won't be positive to start with, even though I have a one o'clock appointment, they have no one there. The person I was supposed to speak with was working from home. The place was nice, it was clean, the accommodations were a little sparse. They have a very sort of clinical setting, which my father will likely not enjoy. Nothing says home looking like you're staying in a hospital full time. Everyone was having lunch in their rooms, which it was explained to me that they used to bring everyone downstairs to the general cafeteria. But because they're short-staffed, they've just started delivering lunch to the bedrooms of everyone who lives there. Unfortunately for me, I'm sort of hoping that they'll keep my father active, and they lack the staffing, that's not a good indication. But other than that, it looks clean, and they're polite. It looks more like a hospice than an assisted living.

I toured Spring Village at Pocono for my mother. She took me through everything. That was very nice, but it just wasn't what I was looking for. A lot of people were there. They had a lot of staff, which was good because they were shuffling people. I got there at lunchtime, so they were moving people around into the dining room. The room looked okay. The staff was very good and didn't hold anything back. She answered all my questions. Her name was Courtney. The place looked clean. Everything looked clean. They had a lot of staff there, so people were running back and forth. It's not far from any of the malls and there's a lot of restaurants. But that didn't make a difference because if I was taking my mother out, it wouldn't matter where she was.

Spring Village at Pocono has more of a nursing home setting and looks more like a hospital. I thought the staff was very nice when I met them. The whole atmosphere was a little depressing. It's just very sad. I've been to nursing homes before, and it has that kind of atmosphere. From what I saw, the staff was accommodating.

I visited Spring Village at Pocono. It was OK. I did not really like it. It was a little too nursing home for my family member. It had a nursing home set-up look for me. It was not a fit for my family member. What I least like about it was the furnishings to me are kind of dated. I did not see anything that jumped out at me as something I like the most. Our family member is kind of independent, even though she is 93. She is very sprightly, and the people there were kind of not as active as she is.

I chose Spring Village at Pocono for my friend. I wanted him to be somewhere where the care was all-inclusive, for a base price where there wouldn't be any additions, and also a place that accepted his long-term care insurance after six months, which would take 90% of his cost, and that's $4,700 a month. He's also eligible for Veterans aid, so they seemed to kind of work with his disabilities. He's comfortable there, he likes it, he likes the staff, he likes the way he is being treated, and that's important to me because he's a dear, dear family friend, might as well say he's family, and he's a veteran, he served our country, and I want him to have the absolute best care possible. I felt that of all the places that I looked at, Spring Village offered all of that. I looked at their testimonials, the reviews from other family members that have family members in there, and I was touched from the compassion in dealing with Courtney, and how she handles the situations, and the speed and efficiency in how she does it is very helpful. It just solidified for me that it was a good decision to place him there.

I have found everyone at Spring Village at Pocono to be exceptional. Everyone is very friendly, caring, kind, and remembers my mother's name. It's a very beautiful, nicely kept place. My mother's room is beautiful, gorgeous, and quite large. She has a large bedroom, large bathroom, and a beautiful view. There's also a nice little cubby area where the window is for her recliner, and she has everything from home. The room is specially painted before we came in, and they told me that I could put up as many pictures and bring as many things in to make her comfortable. They have activities every hour like Bingo, exercise, rhumba, trivia, puzzles in the movie room, and my mom gets speech, occupational and physical therapy so it's beautiful. We're very happy. I haven't come across anyone there who wasn't friendly or helpful. My mother has some issues with the food because they seem to be repetitive and there are not many choices. The price is a little high, but for what you're getting, it's worth it and I'm glad I made the decision of putting my mother there.

Spring Village at Pocono was very nice, the staff was very pleasant, and it was affordable. The dining area was very nice and it looked like we walked into a restaurant. They had a menu available for the day. The activities and the menu were in various spots throughout the facility, such as the elevator, so the residents are well aware of what's going on. They have shopping trips into town and I saw some residents in the middle of playing Bingo. There's a multitude of rooms. There's a large screen setup where residents were watching television. There were two parts to the facility, one was assisted living and the other was more intensive care. It's a 3-floor facility and the third floor was for residents with more extensive needs.

Spring Village was very nice and pleasant. They had three floors and would have been my next choice. The staff was great, very pleasant, and very informative. They had a dining hall on the first and second floors. The third floor was lock down for Alzheimer's.

My friend and I are trying to help an elderly friend who has cancer to get into assisted living, but he felt more independent and was not ready to go into assisted living. Spring Village was very nice, and the people were wonderful; they went out of their way to help. They showed us a private room, but it was too expensive; it was something like $4500, so the individual could not afford that. They showed us a room with someone in it -- which was $2500.

I was trying to get my sister into Spring Village at Pocono, but her family had more power of attorney over me. Spring Village at Pocono was great though. I had no problem with them. They were great. The room was exactly what she needed -- e.g., the TV, the closet, a little dresser, a bed by the window. It was very nice. It was everything she needed. The facility was very nice. It was well cared for. No problem at all. The people were very nice. I don’t know how you could make it any better. It’s absolutely great. It’s perfect.

I like Spring Village at Pocono. It's quite expensive. There is a hospital across the street. They have dementia care, and it seems like they have activities for the residents. The people in charge are very nice.

My father was only there a short time before he passed, but I cannot say enough about how caring and supportive the staff was. The facilities were very comfortable, clean, and homey. The staff was always well informed about his status and his needs and made sure we were as well. In the short time he was there they did everything possible to get to know him and what would make him happy. I will always be grateful that they made my dad's final days as positive as possible.

Spring Village at Pocono is very close to us, which is something that we feel good about. What impressed me most was the executive director. She has gone above and beyond working with us to secure a place for my mother-in-law. She has really been amazing and very supportive. The facility itself is spotless and beautiful. There are people of all different ability levels, and all of them seemed involved in meaningful activities. They have what she calls aging in place, so it's a facility that even ends with hospice care. It's a whole range of services. She was very good about explaining the workings of it. The place is just lovely. It's small. There are only 96 residents, and we really liked that idea as well. We went to the memory care floor, and there was a woman doing an exercise program. There was a lot of back and forth and a lot of talking. She was really trying to involve everybody, and everybody was participating. They were getting ready for lunch downstairs. The dining room was lovely, and the food smelled great. It's a really nice place.
