We did a tour of Sunrise of Lafayette Hill. The community was beautiful. The atmosphere, when you walk up, there were chairs outside. They were not metal, the materials were different, they were chairs you wouldn’t mind sitting in, and they're comfortable. The staff, their personality was very great. They treat you with respect. They gave us warm hospitality. We toured the place, and they showed us around. They showed us the menus, and told us all about the place, and what kind of food you would eat. They were very great; they were one of my choices for my sister to go to. The room's nice. They told me that they would have it ready. We were getting a two-room apartment. The way it was set up, you have a kitchenette, dining area, living room, and bedroom. They had an exercise room. The staff didn't keep you waiting; they were waiting when we got there. The floors, the walls, and everything didn't have a smell or anything, that was my major concern, and there's none of that.

The interior of Sunrise of Lafayette Hill was nice, it was a nice facility. The people were very helpful. The rooms were spacious. They had a variety of studios or one-bedroom, I did look at those. Upkeep looked good. It was a little bit older facility than some of them, but it looked like it was well-maintained. I saw the dining area and it looked like an appropriate dining area; it was nothing fancy. I am looking for a place with more scenic views for my mother. So, while the facility was nice, other facilities were more scenic. Part of that is where it's located, so it just wasn't as scenic as other places I've looked. Everybody seemed very nice, even the residents seem very nice. The staff did an excellent job. They had a salon and a place for doctor's visits and all that stuff.

I did a tour of Sunrise of Lafayette Hill. The staff and the people were very helpful, caring, and insightful. It looks very nice and perfectly suitable. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The staffing was excellent, which is what I was more concerned about. My focus was the staff, and they're impressive. They were incredibly impressive. The residents there seem to really be comfortable and enjoying their experience there. It is a good environment. There was a beauty salon, and they had all the appropriate amenities there.

Our experience with Sunrise of Lafayette Hill was fine. The people were pleasant and we got to look around. Our questions were answered. It was informative. It was relatively new, clean, pleasant, bright, and light. The people seemed to be getting along wherever they were going. The location for this particular place was excellent because it's really around the corner from where Mom lives, and her church is right there.

First impressions are lasting. Walking in to some of these assisted living facilities can be somewhat depressing. When I entered Sunrise in Lafayette Hill there was a flurry of activity and smiles from the residents. It seemed like an upbeat place to be. I am in the process of finding a place for my Mother and want the best. I have visited several other places and by far Sunrise had the best feel. All the employees I met on my tour were kind and welcoming. I liked the fact that most of the employees have been there 5 plus years. That is a bonus!!! Happy Employees equal happy environment and most importantly happy residents. Thank you for an above average experience for a rather difficult chapter of my life.. Finding a place that will help take care of a woman who gave me life and took care of me!!!

I loved Sunrise of Lafayette Hill. The sales director was very informative and appeared to be committed to the residents and to the community. The place was clean and smelled like chocolate chip cookies. I liked the place because it had an open porch where people could sit when the weather was really nice. It also had an enclosed, heated porch. The rooms were fine, but I don't remember anything that stood out.

Sunrise of Lafayette Hill looked modern and bright, but I felt like the person that we met with did not follow through on the things that she said she was going to do. They had a very nice porch with rocking chairs. All of the rooms faced an outdoor garden.

I thought Sunrise of Lafayette was very beautiful. The room looked like a suite to put the president in. I would like to live there myself. The staff person was very nice, and I enjoyed the tour. It was very like a luxurious hotel to me. They were all around the place when I stepped out onto the porch area. There was a lady sitting there, and she was telling me how wonderful it was and how she enjoyed being there. She did like it there. The dining room was very lovely, but nobody was eating at the time I was touring. It was very nice.

The price of Sunrise of Lafayette Hill is a little less, and it's a very nice facility. You come into a circular drive, and when you go in, there's a receptionist. Over to your right, there's a little sitting area where the residents can just sit and enjoy the morning, and over to the left is a bar where they can get juices or coffee or pastry in the morning, and further down is their lunch room. The rooms were open, nice, clean, and very well-kept. The sample room they showed me was very well-decorated, looked more like an apartment, was very clean, and did not smell of urine. The residents were all on wheelchairs, but they were as happy as they can get, and I didn't see anyone who appeared to be mean-spirited or upset. I liked the place.

My father is a resident at Sunrise of Lafayette Hill. The rooms and the whole place are beautiful. I don't have any problem there so far. The food is good; he has a tremendous appetite. They do a lot of activities like memory games, bowling, and singing. I just wish that they could be a little more forceful where his cleanliness is concerned. Of course, they can encourage him to wash, but they cannot force him.

When my wife was at Sunrise of Lafayette Hill, there was too much alone-time. She needs more one-on-one, and she was left alone most of the time. If she wasn’t up to doing the activities, she was left alone, and that was unacceptable. They have exercises for the residents, and they have a shuttle to take the residents to places.

My mother-in-law is in Sunrise of Lafayette Hill. We liked everything about it; it was just too expensive. We looked at the single bedrooms and double rooms. The dining room was very nice, and the staff seemed nice.

This place is horrible. The aids, with a few exceptions, are insolent, and management is worse all the way up. The resident or family member is always wrong, and Sunrise is always right. Complaints are not addressed and all they provide is a defense of the poor service and incompetence by blaming it on the resident . There is also theft of personal belongings, documents, etc which is denied by management, they make it look as if it's all made up as lies against their employees. Do not expect any help from any one at Sunrise.

My husband and I visited this faciliy three times while we were looking for an assisted living facility for his parents. My husband's parents ended up moving into a different facility because they had an opening for the both of them at the time we needed it, while Sunrise had a waiting list at the time, but we were very happy with the care and the facilities when we toured them. We sat down with Sunrise's case manager and met with their activities coordinator and felt that it was a safe, caring environment. The facility is fairly new and is clean, bright and spacious. Sunrise offered a variety of rooms as well as apartments which would have been ideal as it allowed my inlaws to stay together. Sunrise also offered some unique day trips, and had routine visits from therapy dogs, which my inlaws loved, as they have always had at least one dog until these past few years when caring for an active animal became too much. All in all, even though we chose another facility due to timing, we were very pleased with the level of care we saw during our visits.

This assisted living residence was one we considered for my loved one. It was beautifully furnished and had a stimulating atmosphere on the independent neighborhood. When I toured the neighborhood for residents having dementia, it seemed to be overstimulating for some as it looked cluttered with memorabilia and the residents I saw seemed agitated. The staff were friendly, but the site seemed understaffed on the day of our visit, as I saw two residents walking the halls apparently soiled and waiting for attention. Perhaps, this day was the exception but it did not seem as though personal care staff were available when these residents needed them. The site was nicely appointed, but seemed more dated in design than other more modern assisted living sites I had visited.
