Springfield Senior Living is a good facility. It was very close to the neighborhood. What I didn't like was their snack bar because it's all old snacks in there.
I toured their assisted living. Their coordinator was very professional, but when I came into the facility, the young lady at the desk just wasn't professional. Maybe she needs some training.
Their cafeteria was not open, and the building wasn't modernized. They are still eating in their rooms. They are already isolated to a point, so that's a concern of mine.
I didn't see any dirt, but it was just a basic facility. It wasn't pleasing. My thing is curbside appeal is everything; it just wasn't up to my standards. The location is good though because it's in the neighborhood, so it's convenient. It's also near a hospital.

We chose Springfield Senior Living Community for my parents since a lot of places are not accepting new residents due to the virus. We got lucky and found a place that would accept them. Initially they went there and it was just a basic three-story building. The first floor has the assisted living part. There's actually two parts to the place, there's the Springfield senior living part, and also the part where you can come back to do rehab. Their staff is pretty attentive and they are on the ball because they saw that my mom had a stroke. There are some small issues, like we're trying to get a hold of them because of medication and things like that, but initially they were difficult. Most of the time we're able to get a hold of people, it's just that sometimes it takes a little while for them to answer back. We can't go in there, but we can go into the lobby and the staff will bring her to us. The inside part of the facility, from what I can tell, is pretty clean and it doesn't have any sort of funky smells. It's a little bit dated, but inside it's OK.

I didn't like Springfield Senior Living at all. Although there were a lot of trees and vegetation around, the grounds weren't something you could go out into. Everybody was just in the building. This place had nothing out there, and it was very sterile. The building had much more of a hospital look about it. It didn't look recreational. I didn't see the places where you could congregate. They had a library, a TV and a game room, but they were small. It didn't have a homey atmosphere at all. She said they go primarily for people that need assisted living or people in their 80s or 90s, and that's not a place that I wanted to be. Their independent living was pretty small. It might be fine if you're in there for assisted living and you're pretty much stuck in your room and you can't go anywhere. They had a whole building with just the assisted living, and everybody was in a wheelchair. They had very few independent living, and the rooms were small. If you run out of money, they put you out.

I was especially impressed with Springfield - it is totally resident-centered and somewhat resident-run. Activities, meals, trips, etc. are up for residents' votes. They can participate as much or as little as they like in the day-to-day life of the community. I loved the sparkly decor and I was shown a menu that made me jealous! If it were for me, I would happily move there. For my mother, the rooms were too small. My tourguide/administrator was absolutely lovely. The least institutional place I've seen in my search. Lots of interaction between residents and staff - small enough for everyone to know each other.

The people at Springfield Senior Living were very nice. The facility was nice, but the rooms were very small. It was nice physically and it looked modern. The dining room was nice, but small. It's a clean and friendly place. They have outings and they bring people in for entertainment.

This community is clean and beautiful. When you walk in the door it is bright and welcoming. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They go above and beyond to ensure my loved one is safe with call bells in all the bedrooms and bathrooms. I can sleep easy knowing she is safe.

Our experience has been nothing short of great with Springfield Senior Living. My mom is getting excellent round the clock care which really puts my mind at ease. The staff is so caring towards my mother. She loves the activities that are scheduled everyday, once a week lunch trips, as well as the music therapist. My mom seems much happier and at ease since she has been in the care of Springfield and I am very grateful.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone . The food is horrible yes the place looks nice but the staff can be unprofessional all the administrator does is lie they make u wait weeks before someone fix something that needs fixing always short staffed and the memory care floor is like a prison . My family member lived here for 9mo before her passing. She died from malnutrition and bed sores. Coming in she only had stage 2 dementia . This is not a good environment

I was at Springfield briefly for about three weeks last year. I felt that it was not the proper place for me at that time. It was more of a setting for people who needed intensive care, which I did not identify with. The staff was satisfactory. They had breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and special indoor events once a week. I had an adequately sized one-bedroom apartment. They didn't offer a lot of amenities for an independent person.

We toured Springfield Senior Living. The main floor was nice, and the common area was very nice. The woman who runs the place said they spent absolutely no money whatsoever outside of that common area, so the rooms, the floors, and the kitchen were horrible. I thought I was in a hospital that had gone bad. It was really bad. The staff was nice, though. Some people were watching television, but that was about it. Nothing was going on.

I liked Springfield because their apartments were very large and they did different events. They had a men's club wherein the men got together to play pool. They went out to dinner once a month and had quite a few activities. They had a shuttle service, rehab on-site, and physical therapy. We saw one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, which were the largest rooms that we had seen.

We chose Springfield Senior Living for my husband. The place smells fine and the lobby is attractive, but its an older place. The very first day that he was there, there were issues. There were a lot of things that I was told and reassured that turned out not to be the case. They also lack communication as it was difficult for me to get answers to questions. They have a lot of activities, like current event discussions, trivia, Scrabble, local outings, and poker. The food quality is not good.

I didn't like the atmosphere at Springfield. I didn't like that we had to park too far away, and I didn't like the outside because it wasn't aesthetically pleasing to my eye. When you walked in, it was OK, and the rooms were OK. I know someone whose parent lived there; I asked her if she was pleased, and she said she was, but aesthetically, I was not pleased with it. The staff was very nice and pleasant. I had no problems with the caregivers at all. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

My father is in Springfield Residence. They're very kind, caring, and always have the patient's best interest at heart. They do a real good job. It's a very nice place to live in, and it's newly renovated. He's in the Memory Care unit, and the dining room he is eating in is not that nice yet, as they're remodeling. He's very active in all of the activities, and he seems to be enjoying himself. What impressed me most is the overall care, and their genuine concern for him.

We chose the Springfield Residence because of my uncle's specific purposes. He wanted to have his own individual room. It was spacious and he was happy there. The staff was wonderful, they were caring, connected, and in tuned with what was going on with him. They helped maintain his medical integrity. He seemed happy with the food, he enjoyed it. They had a very nice dining room, it was open, and there were good meals. He seemed like he was pleased to be there.

What a beautiful location. Always with fun events for residents, hobbies and crafts to work on, and access top notch nursing staff, as well as a 4 star dining menu. Library, garden, easy access to public transportation and shuttle services too!
