I liked the Village Walk at Patchogue very much, I liked everything about it and I liked Nicole, who was the sales rep. It was located in the actual village of Patchogue, where they could go out and walk up and down the street, and there were shops and stores that they could go on. It was very clean. They didn't have very much green space, that would be my only negative because they are in the heart of the town of Patchogue. But they had a beautiful outdoor patio that overlooked the town that I thought was lovely. Most of the residents appeared to require assistance, it seemed a little bit more one-sided at the Village Walk. We also saw the memory care unit which seemed secure, and the residents seemed happy. Their units were beautiful and very nice in size. We saw the 1-bedroom, their kitchenette was all updated and had all new appliances. My father is a retired police officer, and they're probably the only place that offered an 11% discount, which was also favorable in our eyes for retired law enforcement, as well as the military. They were one of the most reasonable as far as cost.

My mother moved into Village Walk at Patchogue. The place is fantastic, brand new, immaculate, and clean. Everyone there is topnotch and just fantastic with getting my mom settled in, and with the types of food she would like to eat, everything has just been so personalized. They have people who come in and do some activities with them. They have separate arts and crafts room, and they have a patio. They have a beautiful big sunroom with another patio setting on the rooftop. They have two resident bunnies that live there and a therapy dog who also comes to visit. The food is freshly made. My mom is Greek and yesterday, the chef called me and said they noticed that mom is eating certain food but not other food. They want to know what are some of her favorites and they were going to go out and go get her some Greek food from a particular restaurant to make her feel a little bit more welcome at the residence. The sales and marketing staff and all the nurses have given me calls, anywhere from the nurse who helps with wound care, the nurse who does her Foley catheter, and those who do occupational therapy and physical therapy. Everyone has stayed in touch. The minute they're done with my mom or even beforehand if you need anything, if you have questions or anything is going on with mom, you can let them know. From the front desk to the marketing staff to the maintenance staff that helped my mom get settled into her room and helps set up stuff have been top-notch. It's immaculate and beautiful. Everyone has been more than welcoming to me and my mom. Everybody has just been outstanding. They have tons of activities there. For the amount of what they need every month, including all the medical needs that my mom has, the value for money is very good. They do a lot of outing trips, too.

I toured Village Walk at Patchogue for my mom, and I hated everything about this place from the minute I walked in. It's in a really kind of dicey neighborhood. There's absolutely no outside space and it feels really institutional when you walk in. I just found the whole thing very unpleasant. The person who took me around couldn't have been nicer. The rooms were on the smaller side and none of them had any kind of nice view. It's very busy around that area, but it's kind of a funky area, so there's no view from any of the rooms. The dining place looked like a school cafeteria. It didn't have that kind of nice, more cafe homey feel like the other ones I saw. They have an exercise room and a TV room, but the TV room didn't have nice chairs. They were like school chairs, like kids sitting in school, and they're kind of lined up on a wall. That struck me as being really odd, the way it was set up for people to watch a TV. I have nothing good to say about it. I'm sure they're taking care of people, so I won't give them a one, but no more than two. The staff was very nice, very patient, and kind, but the place didn't feel like anybody would consider that their home.

My 91 year old dad and 93 year old mom moved in 2/1/22 and so far I’m so happy for them. Although my father got sick and has to spend time in the hospital before he got to move in Village Walk has taken great care of mom. From the time we moved her into her room she has had a smile on her face non-stop. The staff has made her feel very welcome and at home. From the time we wheeled her in (mom is in a wheelchair most of the time) the staff took to her and made sure she ate and had an understanding of the place while I was able to get her room together. Unfortunately because of the pandemic visiting hours are at a minimum to protect the residents. However they let me stay to get the apartment setup and ready for when dad get out of the hospital. Mom is not much of a social butterfly but Village Walk has so many different activities and entertainment go all day that she is able to keep her mind off the fact she is missing dad. I have found the entire staff to be great!

Village Walk at Patchogue was a nice place. It was clean, and the people seemed very nice. It's in the town, and they could get places. They were very good and very cooperative. They gave us the COVID test just make sure we didn't have it, which I thought was a very good idea. The person who gave the tour was very nice. She was good and explained everything. The facility itself was good. They had a menu plan which depends on the level of care and the cost of apartments. She showed me everything they have. I was used to having a house, but there you see it's just a room..

This place has been HORRIBLE to my Grandmother. The “nurses” are the absolute worst people on this planet. There is NO compassion for the people who pay a minimum of $6k a year to live and receive care here. They are constantly yelling and jerking my Grandmother around who has a broken arm. For some reason they can’t remember that her arm is broken or they DON’T inform the other nurses when they come in her room that it is broken. One nurse in particular SCREAMED at my Grandmother that she needed to stop pulling off her sleeping mask because she can’t keep coming in to fix it. The sleeping mask that she needs for Oxygen only comes off when this particular nurse puts it on initially at the beginning of the night. Please DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. Trust me, there are so many more stories like the above.

My mom has been in Village Walk at Patchogue. It is pretty nice. They have a nice set up, but they can improve on their food. They have activities, but they are having a few issues with staff as far as people not staying. Overall, it is pretty nice. It is like a nice hotel set up. My mom doesn't need any additional services, but they'll come in and clean the room. They have restaurant-style set up for meals with multiple choices, and they have a cafe with snacks and some coffee that people can get during the day. They have a movie room where they'll show movies, they have trips somewhere, they play bingo, and they do different games. They also have a sunroom that people can use for family parties, which is nice.

Village Walk at Patchogue was a little more city-like and not on a very large piece of property. It's pleasant, and the staff was lovely. The dining areas were casual and pleasant, they had snack areas where you can go, and lots of sitting areas. They had a wellness center, and the rooms were adequate. It was well maintained and attractive in a different way.

I don't like Village Walk at Patchogue. It is in the middle of town and difficult to walk to. It is not the kind of place I would want to be. It is very fancy and nice, but it is not for me. The people were nice. I saw rooms down in the ground floor where all the people are. I saw their post that tells you what's going on.

Village Walk at Patchogue was a very nice place. It's brand new, but everything was small. It was like real apartment living in the city. It was in the middle of town. You could just walk out and you'd be on the street with stores, which is nice because they don't have to rely on a bus to take them anywhere.

Village Walk was absolutely beautiful, clean, and the staff was extremely helpful, very professional, friendly, and they knew the residents' names, which means a lot. It's close to everything that you would need. They have a pretty full schedule of stuff to do. They don't have a pool, but they take them to a pool once a week, which is nice. The place is brand new.

My mom moved into Village Walk almost two months ago. It's amazing, brand-new, and only been open for a couple of months. They have assisted living on three floors and dementia and Alzheimer's care on floors 4 and 5. My mom is on the 4th floor. It's only 15 minutes from where I was living, and I was able to save $3,500 a month from rent, which can only go up at most by $200 because of her level of care. She's adjusting and doing much better now. They have somebody come in for music and Jeopardy. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but they're all on their cellphones.

Village Walk was a wonderful and beautiful place. The services, the activities, and the convenient location were great. However, my in-laws are not yet ready for them. Nevertheless, the place was gorgeous, and the amenities were wonderful. Everything there was very nice. The room was clean. There was enough space for one bedroom with a small living area. The closets were small.

Village Walk was brand new. It was a little cheaper than other places and looked like it would be nice. The rooms were nice, and the place was five stories high, so you're in an elevator that goes up and down all the time. It's like a hotel, and for my dad to be there, he'd be lost all the time. It just didn't appeal to us, and felt like a cold place. There's also no place outside to sit.
