I toured Allegria at Ocean Grove for my brother. The physical appearance looked kind of rundown and the rooms are kind of chopped up a lot. It just wasn't appealing. The staff was helpful, but not overly helpful. They answered our questions, but we weren't that interested in it after looking at the place. I didn't pursue it to a large extent. They have an arts and crafts room and a big room that was like an all-purpose room. She explained that they have lots of activities, but we don't see much going on really. People were watching TV, but that was it. It just didn't seem like a very welcoming place. It's so dated, it's going to need to have a big facelift.

I did a tour of Allegria at Ocean Grove. I liked the location and that was probably it. To be honest, it was old, and I understand that it's historic, so not much can happen in terms of renovations. Actually, they offer less than other places; you had to pay for laundry there, and you have to pay for a lot of things a la carte, versus some other places. It was just old and worn down. It reminded me of college dorm metal doors. The staff was super friendly. There was nothing going on when I was there, but I know that they have some activities.

I love the location of Allegria at Ocean Grove, it's beautiful. It's right near the water, so it had a lovely view and it was a nice facility. It was perhaps not as fancy as the other place we toured, but still a very nice facility. And they were doing renovations for the memory units, so I'm assuming once that's done, it will be upgraded. It's clean as well as the rest of it. The staff who gave the tour was good. There were a couple of questions that she wasn't able to answer, which we were able to find the information later on. We saw some of the double rooms. Those were nicely arranged so that even though people are sharing a room, they still have their own privacy.

My mom has moved into Allegria at Ocean Grove, and she's doing very well. I like that I can get in touch with anybody at any point, and they usually are prompt in getting back to me. They help my mom with everything that she needs. The nursing is good, so is everything so far. The only thing that she's not loving is the food, but that's okay. I think the food is just very basic and bland kind of food. I don't want to put any negative reviews because so far, it's been very good situation for her. The room is good. She's in a studio. It's kind of small, but it's good for her right now. She gets her three meals, and then they have activities daily. I think they have up to three or sometimes four activities. She has physical therapy, which they offer her there. She doesn't have doctor care. She really hasn't opted for that yet, but she was able to get her pressure taken and stuff like that. I'm very happy with the staff. Everybody is so friendly, and they all seem to care about the people in the place. I thought they were the most affordable.

My mom is moving into Allegria at Ocean Grove. It seems like a very nice facility, and I love that it's close to the ocean. The staff seems friendly, and overall I've been happy with it. I got my mom a pretty big studio. It won't fit all of her things, but it will fit some of the more precious items that she loves. They have a physical therapy room that she'll definitely enjoy. They also offer trips and activities down by the ocean. They have a hair salon, and they have a monthly schedule of activities that she can participate in if she chooses to. Their dining room was closed due to someone having COVID. I saw the food on trays being delivered. I understand from the admissions person that the food is rated pretty well by the residents.

They were very friendly at Allegria at Ocean Grove. The fact that they have restaurant style dining will be very good for my father because he enjoys socializing with people. He likes that it's two blocks from the ocean, and he can see the boardwalk and the ocean from the windows there. We chose that place not just because of cost, but because it's very close to where his current apartment is. It's also near his friends. They had a lot of activities on the calendar when we were there. They also do outside church with them. It's the right place for him. The staff was very good, very friendly, informative, and very kind in their interactions with my father. It was very clean, very well kept, and very nice.

Allegria at Ocean Grove was lovely, but so expensive that it was just out of reach. They offer everything. They have a beautiful location and the place itself is very clean. The meals looked delicious.

My sister moved into Allegria at Ocean Grove, and the place is gorgeous. Like any place, it has things that they could improve on, but in general, the people that run the place do a very nice job, in fact right now, they have a local florist join a floral display. They decorated the room, it’s open to the public, and the local senior center is here. They have free breakfast, coffee bar for making cappuccino, and they do a nice job with that. They’re very responsive to us. She has one of the bigger rooms with a sitting room and a bedroom, and a very large bathroom that’s wheelchair accessible. Most of the residents here have studios which are quite nice too. I think eventually given the financial circumstances, we may have to move to a studio as well, but her room is very nice. They have a deluxe studio, a regular studio, and accordingly the price is dropped. The meals are very nice, the dining hall is beautiful, and they have all sorts of meals to choose from. It’s a 5-story building, so you have to use an elevator.

My grandmother has adjusted well and things are going very well at Allegria at Ocean Grove. She's in memory care. The rooms are fine, but a little smaller compared to some of the others, though perfect for what she needed. They keep them very active, take them out into town, have mass every Sunday, and do lots of different activities in the building. Financially, it was one of the better locations we found. The staff has been great so far. It's a little dated, but it's nice.

Toured this facility the other day when they were having their annual holiday party. They had prob 200 people there it was pretty impressive. I like that the families are so involved there, everyone seemed to know each other well. The food was really good too.

I toured this facility a few days ago, as I used to vacation here as a child. They actually just redid the building and it looks gorgeous. Nice views as well.

My Aunt moved into the community a few months ago. She loves being by the water and the view from her room is spectacular. Nice town near by.. easy to visit and to take her down the road to eat. Good food, nice people, friendly staff

United Methodist Communities at Francis Asbury was a wonderful place. The room was very nice, but it didn't have a kitchenette. You could put a little refrigerator, a toaster oven, or a microwave if you want to, but it wasn't a separate little kitchen area. Other than that, I absolutely loved everything about this place. You could take a walk and go to the grocery store.
