About This Community

What is it that makes any house a home? It's when you belong to the family inside. And each one of our residences is home to a unique family, a circle that encompasses both residents and staff.

In the best families, members of all ages treat each other with respect. They encourage and listen to one another. It's where we rejoice, play and grieve together; where individuality is appreciated; where we learn and grow together. Safe harbor and unconditional love are found there.

People thrive when they feel like part of a cherished family, knowing they're surrounded by those who only want what's best for them. It's also a comforting, supportive and healing environment for those who are facing loss or illness.

Our ability to bring this philosophy to life depends entirely on hiring the right people. That's why every staff person is hand-picked for their capacity to provide the kind of care we'd want for our own loved ones. We are united by this purpose.

The people at Evergreen in Dickinson were extremely friendly, and they have studio rooms. The rooms were a decent size, but the hallways were quite narrow, and it felt like an old motel. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The facilities are easily accessible because everything is all in one floor.

I grew up volunteering at this facility. I enjoyed being with all the residents. An activity I really enjoyed doing with the residents was Bingo!

My parents (both in their 90's) have been residents of Evergreen since December 2011. They both think it is a great place to live with friendly, helpful staff, good nourishing meals and planned activities.

The staff at evergreen were very friendly and there was no signs of just doing their job for a paycheck. When I first visted my grandmother's friend at Evergreen, they already had flowers ready in her room. She greeted me with a smile on her face so I know she is treated well. She said she likes the nurses and helping staff. The floors were clean and the place looked clean without any dirty areas. I have been to other facilities but this place was the nicest. She told me the meals were also very nutritious and healthy. The meals were always on time and she said they were tasty. I asked her if she had any bad experiences here and she said no. She said she also did not have any problems with any of the other residents living there. A unique thing about this place was that she needed a can opener for one of the canned fruit that I gave her and they brought it to her with in the hour!
