Haven Homes was very nice. It's very new. Everything looks new, clean, and modern. All the apartments we looked at were very clean. The one that we kind of wanted would have worked very well for my husband's father the way it was arranged. In my mind that was the one I preferred. The people that we met were very friendly. Everything was explained clearly. We knew everything upfront. The costs especially were very concise and clear. You know what the costs were going to be right away.
Being it was earlier on in the COVID thing, so there weren't a lot of activities. The staff showed us the dining room and where people could go outside eventually. Right now, they could come down to eat, but of course, they were at separate tables. They showed us the chapel, the exercise room, and a library. It was very nice, but at that point, there weren't a lot of activities going on.

Haven Homes was brand new, beautiful, and very well laid out. There was everything there that my mother required like the ease of getting in and out and parking underground. They're very accommodating. There was a shuttle bus to take her to appointments or to the grocery store or wherever she needed to be. It's very well thought out. We met two of their staff there, and both were very sweet, kind, accommodating, and super professional. The apartment that we liked was the two-bedroom, two-bath. It had nice furnishings, and everything was provided. All we had to do is move in. It was fabulous. My mother's boyfriend is in the rehab part of it. I spoke with his daughters as well as we were able to visit with him and he was very pleased with his care as well as his daughters. It's very affordable according to what care he needs and such. He had a whole activities calendar on his door. There were a couple of things each day but not as many as during the week, but that's to be expected.

I brought my mother here. It's a very small rambler building that houses about 20 residents, and it's just a calmer place for someone with some dementia like her. It's assisted living, and the rooms are very adequate. The staff is old fashioned and kind. They have an exercise class, they play bingo, and they have a card club and a book club. It's not a very active place.

They were very friendly, but it was very small and old, and the rooms were small. It wasn't what we were looking for. They said they are updating soon. I was very well accommodated, and the staff who showed me around was very nice. They had a very small area for families to hang out and a few bigger rooms. They had activities for the clients. It was very clean, but very dated.
