My father moved into Oak Park Place at Albert Lea. We chose it because it is all-inclusive, so we don't have any surprise bills at the end of the month. The staff is very pleasant, very helpful, and very inquisitive. They explain what they do and what they're going to do for him. They help him with the showers. They do minor housecleaning of his room. They have activities available. He has a nice room, and it looks like a regular apartment. It has a stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, and cupboards. It is spacious with closets and a nice and spacious bathroom with a low step entry into the shower. The shower is a decent size, so you could have a shower chair in there. The place is very clean. Everything looks up to date and fixed. Nothing seemed to be just broken and sitting there. I also think it is very reasonably priced.

Oak Park Place is very attentive to the resident's needs. They get to know each resident personally and are aware when any changes in health take place. The staff and administration go above and beyond to help when needed and to make residents feel at home. The atmosphere is cheery, bright and homey. Many activities are offered. Meals are very tasty, just like home. I would highly recomend Oak Park Place to anyone seeking Assisted Living and/or Memory Care.
