We placed my mom in Bay Valley AFC. It's just a care house. It's very clean and very friendly. Their attitudes are just awesome. They love the people that are staying there. There are people that have been there for a long time. My mom just went in a week ago, but they've been very accommodating. She is a lot cleaner where she's at so far. They take good care of them. I haven't tried the food there but it's all home cooked. The caregivers cook all their food. They have activities there. They play bingo three times a week, and they exercise daily.

We have found Bay Valley House for my friend. He moved in on November 1st. It's very nice, and we're happy with it. We have no issues with anything. It's hard to put somebody in a home, but I don't have any issues with the care or with the place. It's very small, it has like 20 people, so there are fewer employees, and they're not coming in and out all the time. My friend's apartment is average size with a bedroom. We are able to put in a full bed, a TV, and a couple of chairs. Everything is fine. The menu looked pretty good. They have exercise, bingo, and different activities. He is not able to do much, and that was my one problem with him. I could not get him to do anything. He likes to sit and you couldn't force him to do anything, but I see other people doing a lot of activities. The facility is very nice, the employees are very kind, and it's a very nice place. Nobody likes to have to put somebody they love in a home, but I'm satisfied as I can be there. Some of the bigger places I was really concerned about because they have a high rate of Covid. This one never had that because it's smaller, I guess, and they don't have that many employees for 20 people as you would for 100.
