About This Community
This is a five (5) bed residential facility situated on a 2 acre lot with a tennis court. We have several private rooms with mostly private bathrooms and one shared bathroom which has its privacy doors.
We are 15 minutes away from Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Spring, Virginia, Chevy Chase, North West DC, and the Captial. All our meals are made in house daily. We participate with Home Physician Services who sees our residents in house to ensure that our families have the peace of mind and is able to attend to work or immediate needs and does not have to worry about taking their loved ones to appointments. Labs Podiatry services are are also done in house.
Activities varies as per resident's cognition but we network with various organizations such as the lets move exercise program, volunteer services who does art and music therapy weekly. All excursions and pre-announced to families who can participate as desired.
Our certified medication technicians are trained to give medications to our residents. All our staff has been with our organization since its four year inception.

We picked Serenity Gardens Assisted Living for my sister. It's 10/10. They will do all medical care, which is important, and give you a place to stay. The rooms were beautiful. My other sister and I went there and liked it very much. She would be happy there. The staff was very well educated, very capable, wonderful and very caring. The facilities were wonderful. We're paying the facility to keep the room available.

Serenity Gardens nice, and I liked it, but I didn't like the bathroom facilities. I thought the staff was very nice and competent. They had nice, large rooms. Everything was nice. They had a nice common area, dining room, and kitchen with everything on one level. If you go outside, there's a nice area. The bathroom facility just wouldn't be safe for my mother. She's used to being bathed every day. They can wheel the whole wheelchair in there, and it's completely ceramic. The nurses were nice, and the lady in charge was very informative. I think the staff is very concerned and get to know the patients very well. They do their jobs.

This facility has a home away from home atmosphere. I toured this facility and when we arrived there was a doctor visiting the residents, when we were leaving a band was arriving for their weekly performance. They have two caregivers/medication technician to five residents and both seem highly knowledgeable of their duties and were friendly. They met us at the door and said thank you for visiting serenity gardens.
It was lunch time and so it was a great time to see their display of meal preparation. I was impressed by the way the set up their meals, it looked and smelled delicious and it seems their staff joins the residents at the table and have the same meals. I liked that.
Pleasant smell, clean, not a overkill. All but one room is private. Compared to other facilities I visited they are 10/10. Unfortunately I was not able to place mom as someone else took the last room we wanted but we requested to be placed on a waiting list and opted to keep mom home until. I was happy the social worker recommended them to us.

The house is large and the property is quiet and set back from the road. There was a single care-giver present and she was very pleasant and seemed to have a good rapport with the few residents who were present. The house is able to care for about 7 residents but there were only three people there. The rooms are large but everything is very worn. The rooms are adequate. The owner gave us the tour and she was very knowledgeable about geriatric care. I trusted her experience. For the quality of the facility, it seemed a bit overpriced.

My mom was at this facility, she was one of the first residents. The environment is tranquil, staff is courteous, kind, caring, patient. Meals are great and they have enormous activities. My favorite is the lets move program. Facility is extremely clean. They are attentive to your needs. I love them. Thanks Serenity for all you did for mom, and thanks for following up even after mom passed away,

I visited this assisted living facility with a friend who was looking for place for her grandmother. Everything in this facility is updated and very nice. Staffs were very friendly and we went to few elderly who were living there and they gave nothing but good response about the staff. They had spacious room for elders and very nice backyard right outside where people can relax. One of the old lady we talked to said that she hated the place and staff is horrible but she was only one who complained. Other than her everyone else said good things about the staff and how helpful they were. When I got outside I talked to few other people who had lived in this facility regarding the staff and they all said good things about them. I have visited few other facilities but Serenity has to be one of the best one I liked during my tour.
