I looked at Carroll Lutheran Village. It was good. There were a number of questions that the staff could not answer, unfortunately. It's a little far out there, and it's in a rural setting off the beaten track. The rooms were generously sized and well appointed. However, the staff were unable to answer important questions. It's beautiful countryside. There is a chapel on site. They have a fitness facility, and the dining was very attractive and appealing.

Carroll Lutheran Village was an excellent place. My mom is not there, but from what I could tell, everybody looked very professional, kind and caring. The apartments were very nice. Actually, I toured two apartments and I really liked the size and the layout. They're very nice. They showed me the dining room and then there was like a great room, but it's a room where they can sit down, read a book or play some games. There weren't a lot of people. The dining hall was set up really nice, but because of Covid, everybody eats in their room. They're just being cautious, which I'm glad they are. I did not look at independent living, but I looked at assisted living. My grandmother was there a long time ago. It's a quiet, calm, and relaxed environment with a beautiful view. Everyone has been very nice. They're not pushy, which is kind of an annoying behavior that we all can be subject to sometimes, so I appreciate that.

The rooms are clean. They have plenty of activities available if you are interested. The nursing staff & caregivers are Excellent. They call the residents by name & truely care about them. The food is excellent & plenty of it. A very loving environment. There is a chapel with services every week. Family can visit anytime of the day or night. The residents are kept clean & have a wonderful therapy room with lots of equipment.
