My dad spent almost the last year of his life at the Severna Park house. Margaret, Roger, and the entire staff are wonderful, friendly, and caring - they treat each resident as if he/she were their own parent. Each resident has their own room with a private bathroom, but they are encouraged to spend time in the common living area or outside on the deck, as a community, or really as a family. Community meals are like family meals. Even during the pandemic, they have strived to keep things as normal as possible, and have continued to have their daily activities - movie night, pizza day, bingo, crafts, puzzles - as well as church/prayer services. It is not a fancy modern place like some others, but is more like a quaint family home, which my dad felt very comfortable in. The staff-to-resident ratio is much higher than most other places, and ensures that all residents are receiving individualized care. I know that God led us to their doorstep when our dad needed more care last year, and we are truly blessed that he was able to live out his life in a true household of angles. I pray that God continues to bless Margaret and her staff each and every day.

The price was good at Household of Angels and I had friends that had family members there, so I chose this place for my dad. He is happy with the community. It's nice and well maintained. They don’t have a whole lot of activities, but they do have church service, and they usually have a piano player come in a couple of times a week. Once in a while they do trips. The good thing about this facility is that it is small, so they get a lot of individual care. They are a little slow with regards to their maintenance issues.

Household of Angels is smaller; that was more like her being home. She likes it there much better because it was more personal. It was nice; it wasn’t modern, but it was clean. Everybody was upbeat and rolled out to the living area where they had TV. It doesn’t have many people so the people were able to communicate with them more and talk to them even while they are in the kitchen, and the people were like the living room are and the dining room and they could see them, hear, and carry on a conversation so that was much better. She had a private room; it wasn’t real large, but it’s served the purpose. The help was friendly, and they took more time with the people.
