About This Community
Brightview Annapolis, Brightview’s fourteenth community in Maryland and third community in Anne Arundel County, is under construction at 1935 Generals Highway in Annapolis.

The community will include 88 independent living apartment homes, 53 assisted living apartment homes, and a 24 apartment neighborhood known as Wellspring Village®, specially-designed and dedicated to dementia and Alzheimer’s Care. The architecture style of the community is reminiscent of the Federalist and Georgian style characteristic of homes in the Annapolis area.

“We are excited to bring a third option to the seniors and their families in the Anne Arundel County region,” says Marilynn Duker, Brightview’s President. “Brightview South River and Brightview Severna Park have exceeded expectations.”

Brightview communities are known for offering an engaging social environment with housekeeping, dining, transportation and maintenance provided by a highly trained, and caring staff. Designed to provide caring services and a vibrant lifestyle, plans for the community include a café/bar, a beauty/barber salon, fitness center, and several other amenity spaces.

With a desirable and accessible location, Brightview Annapolis will be a convenient location for residents and their families. Westfield Annapolis Mall, Gateway Village, Annapolis Towne Center, and the Festival at Riva provide high-end grocery and retail options within a mile of the community, and include high-quality stores such as Nordstrom, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and Target, among others.

Our in-laws have been residing at Brightview Annapolis for 8 months now. It is the benchmark we were using to compare the other facilities. The service there has been excellent. They're getting everything they need. The reason why we're looking at other facilities is that Brightview Annapolis is a rental facility, which means you have to be able to pay the monthly rent to stay there. If you can't pay, you have to move out. And also, Brightview Annapolis did not have a skilled nursing facility so if there was any medical need where they needed skilled nursing, they would have to move out or move to a skilled nursing facility. Brightview Annapolis is an apartment-style building basically in the middle of Annapolis. There are no grounds where people can take a walk. You're just walking around the parking lot around the building, which we thought was negative. It's right there on a busy road. There are no other indoor facilities other than their multimedia rooms, their activity rooms, their exercise, and physical therapy rooms. They have a library. Indoors, it is very well laid out. Because they live there, we are able to eat with them. We could have breakfast, lunch or dinner with them. It is a restaurant-style dining in which you choose from a menu and the menu has different items available every day. There is a stock daily menu, but they also have a special menu for each day that changes every day, which is nice. The staff is great. They treat our parents with respect. They care for them. We get calls from them regularly whenever something's up or whenever they observe something. So they're always keeping us in the loop as to what's happening with them, which is great.

I went to Brightview Annapolis. It's a very pretty building; it's large. It's a lot bigger than I wanted, that's why I did not choose them. It's a lot bigger, and it didn't feel as homey to me. The staff who showed me around was great; she was very nice. Brightview Annapolis seems nice but I chose a different one. It's nice and pretty. It didn't feel like an institution, it felt like a really upscale hotel.

Brightview Annapolis was very nice, but very expensive. It was out of our price range. They offer lots of trips, they offer at least two choices of meals, and they offer very nice facilities. However, it was beyond our price range.
