My father-in-law is moving into Kindley Assisted Living at Asbury Methodist Village. It's excellent. They're very good over there. It's a nice facility, the people there are nice. I've only met one of the staff, but she's very good. The one-bedroom apartment is nice. I haven't tried the food, but they serve food, and they have a dining room and a living room on each floor. There's 23 units on each floor. They have a fitness center, they have a pool, and I know they have a rock climbing wall. It's in great shape.

This is an outstanding place. My father has done rehabilitation there on several occasions. The people are very well trained. Everyone smiles and they seem to genuinely care about the residents/patients. After my 90-year old father's most recent stay, his condition worsened so he moved into the long-term care part of the facility. The staff are tremendous. From the cleaning crew to the dining staff to the nurses, counselors and aides, I can't say enough good things about them. Last week my father needed to go to the hospital for a short stay. He was eager to return to the place he calls 'my house' and to the people he has come to think of as family. The case managers provide support for families making these hard choices about caring for aging loved ones. I visit daily and no matter what time I show up, the place is the same -- well-run, fresh and clean and residents looking well cared for. Visit -- I guarantee you will be impressed.

I liked that Asbury Methodist Village had everything in the building for the residents. So, that my elderly grandmother would have everything right at her fingertips and wouldn't have to go outside to go to a restaurant or anything. It was very well organized. The staff and the residents were friendly and obviously got along well with each other.

Despite the name all are welcomed at Asbury whether Methodist or not. There is a very big campus with lots of choices in terms of housing from apartments to attached cluster homes. With so many residents you are sure to find friends and activities. We have had several friend who have moved there and one even said "why did we wait so long." It really is an active community that has lots of options from housing to clubs to levels of care.
