We love this place so much it has been a huge life savor for us. We moved my mother in a few months ago and I can already see a change in her. She is so happy and back to her old self. The staff here is amazing with the way they care for all their residents, it really puts my mind at ease knowing my mom is in good hands and I don’t have to worry so much. Also the activities staff has been awesome as well and my mother is never bored, whether it’s going off to exercise class or on a scenic bus trip there is always something for her to do. I recommend this place to anyone. It is definitely a home away from home

Brookdale Dartmouth Village was a very nice facility, which is nestled into the forest. The rooms are very accommodating, not overly large, but there's adequate space, and they were a fair size. You have a choice of studio, 1-bedroom, or 2-bedroom. The staff was very good and pleasant. They gave us a very nice tour. They were a little bit unique since they were in clusters, so each cluster had seven or eight rooms, and had its own dining facility. They have a rec room and a library. It's kind of unique in that aspect.

My father-in-law is in Brookdale Dartmouth Village right now. The cleanliness stood out. The staff is very good, and the environment is very pretty. They have a lot of things to do. They have field trips, exercise, and bingo.

We decided to move my father into Brookdale Dartmouth Village (Formerly Emeritus at Dartmouth Village). We liked the facility. It's smaller and we just felt it would be a good fit for my father. We did have lunch there and it was very nice. The rooms were very well kept, not terribly big, but sufficient. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. A lot of the staff has been there for many years which is comforting to know. He is not there yet, but from what we saw, they have a nice array of activities, accommodations and transportation. There is medical management as far as medications as needed. There's a full service of amenities, and it seemed to be well secure.

Emeritus at Dartmouth Village was very nice. I don't know about the staff because I was just visiting someone there. I am sure they did bingo. They had a piano and an activity room.

Emeritus is good, but I didn’t like the layout of it. The units were clean and neat, but you had no opportunity to really cook something for yourself unless you went out into a common kitchen that everyone would use; you don’t have one in your unit. You can exit and enter independently. The staff was very nice and attentive. They had many activities, and people seemed to be very happy. When you see people smiling and participating in activities, you have to say that they are doing it on their own, and they are doing it because they enjoy it. As far as tidiness and pleasantness, I would probably rate it a 4. I don’t want to disparage it, but I found it a little cold and for no very good reason just my own impression. I did not see people interacting, but it could be that the day I visited; they were always doing something else. I saw their dining area, and they offered kind of a snack. I think I have seen their menu and it seemed to be appealing. They did have an activity calendar, and I think the day that I happened to visit, people were off on a field trip, they were going someplace for a show or something like that. They had events, they had musical events at night, and there was a whole list of things on the calendar. I don’t want to put them down because I have known people who have been there, and they have been quite happy and content.

We chose Emeritus mainly because it was a small resident area. It was more a cottage type of facility with 8 rooms instead of a bigger building. At that time, there were just men in that one cottage. The room was pretty generic, like most of them. There wasn't much difference in that respect. It's ideal because each cottage has its own facilities. It has its own dining room, a living room, and its own staff just for that cottage. It's very limited, as far as the 8 people that are in it have total staff to look after them. I only ate there once; the food was good. They do a lot of activities. My uncle has been more actively going to different functions and the different things that they provide. They seem to have been able to motivate him there.

Emeritus at Darmouth Village is very good. It's definitely very clean. There is no smell. The part that I like about this facility is that it does not look like a regular nursing home. The rooms were OK for what my parents are going to need. The rooms are very good. The common area was good, and they have a common refrigerator where people can bring stuff when they want. The staff seemed like they were very attentive.

I liked Emeritus at Dartmouth. The people were great and the rooms were beautiful. They offered memory care and had Alzheimer's wing. They had 24-hour nursing staff. They take the residents on field trips and shopping or to local cultural events. They had many events. Every week they had a speaker and barbeque in summer. In wintertime, they had Christmas carols. They also had programs all day long.

I liked Emeritus and I would have picked that one up if I hadn't seen the one that my father is in right now. Their rooms were spacious and they had meal plan options.

I like the location of Emeritus so I contacted them and set up a tour. I was satisfied and I went back again to see a particular one-bedroom apartment. They toured me very well. I like the way the cottages are connected. I saw the menu, I did sample the food and most of the residents agreed that it was good. The dining room was very nice and attractive. They have some outside concert coming up and different things for summer. They kept me updated with their activities in the mail.

My grandmother lives in this facility and she is always well taken care of. I do have to compliment some of the employees at Emeritus. One of them is Claudia. She is always taking the residents out to different places on the bus and they always have a good time. My grandmother comes back from some of the trips and she rants and raves about how amazing the trip was. I also have to compliment Brenda and Rhonda in Cedar cottage. They are always on top of taking care of my grandmother and the rest of the residents. Emeritus is an amazing facility and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an assisted living facility.

I visited Emeritus in Dartmouth and the staff there were very wonderful in providing information and for touring me around the place. The entire place is well maintained and clean. I just find the rooms small and very cramped and they don't have much closet inside. I love spaces around me and a lot of closet for a better organized room and they don't have those.
