About This Community

Clifton Assisted Living is nestled in a charming coastal setting on a beautiful New England country inn that overlooks scenic Mount Hope Bay.

Discover a carefree senior lifestyle that provides a wonderful new feeling of comfort and security. Contrary to living alone in a large oversized house, especially when assistance is needed, the "Inn" can be significantly less worrisome and less expensive.

At the "Inn," we have no typical apartments- each one is different, and prices vary according to apartment size, location, and specific features.

When compared to other assisted living communities, the "Inn" offers so much more. Clifton's all-inclusive rates consist of amenities that many other facilities charge extra for, including, three delicious meals daily, personal care services (45 minutes), Registered Nurses to monitor your health, medication management, daily activities, scheduled transportation, 24 hour CNA staffing, emergency monitoring systems, housekeeping and laundry services, and much more.

Some of our community and apartment features include walk-in closets, bay windows, individual patios, walking paths, Victorian Courtyard, step-in showers, three fireplaces, fitness area, non-denominational chapel, whirlpool spas, and much more! Clifton is a fourth-generation local family organization that, since 1954, has been providing the highest quality of healthcare services to your community, which is also our community. Our emphasis is focused on maintaining independence with grace and dignity.

The Clifton lifestyle means enjoying a wide variety of activities. Whether you are a person who likes to be on the go or you like to relax by the fire with a food book, Clifton can be the perfect home for you.

While always anticipating the ever-changing needs of our community, The Clifton Healthcare Campus also offers Transitional Care, Short-Term Rehab, Long-Term Care, Outpatient Rehab, and Hospice Care.

My mom will be moving into Clifton Assisted Living. It's a beautiful facility. It's well-maintained. It's very, very clean, and smells good. It's just very warm, and we got a really good vibe when we first walked in. The staff there are very friendly and nice, and what we love the most is the people milling around, and everyone seemed happy and it was an active place. It just seemed like a great, great place. The residents were in the recreation room. They were playing pool, the women were playing pool, which we thought was fun. And a lot of people were sitting out in their cafe area, outside of their dining area, and many people were sitting there and enjoying themselves. They spoke with us when we came through, and told us that they enjoyed that part. It's a very social place.

In 2019 both my parents moved into Clifton assisted living. They were both in their 90’s and mom needed extra care. Best decision we ever made. No longer did we have to worry about accidents in kitchen or falls getting to basement for laundry. All services are included in the monthly rent. Menus are given weekly with several delicious choices Their apartment is bright with a separate bedroom bathroom off bedroom with walk-in shower. They are safe and and content living here. Staff is friendly caring compassionate Always a welcoming smile. Doreen is the “innkeeper” who keeps everyone safe and happy especially during the pandemic. My mom is no longer with us but dad continues to live there and doesn’t plan to make any changes

Clifton Assisted Living is where my mom is going. Their studio apartment actually has an alcove in them that can accommodate a bed and a couple of bureaus, so it is like you have your couch on top of your bed. It is kind of a bedroom even though it is a studio. They have walk-in closets, everything is updated, and the place itself is beautiful. They have exercise and art class. We were there doing the assessment, and they were having music. They have singers coming in; their activities are awesome. They really have good activities. They go once a month to restaurants to eat, and they go weekly if you need to go to Wal-mart or Walgreens. They provide doctor’s transportation. My mother goes to therapy, and they will provide transportation for her. They provide an hour of care a day, and that is all included in the price.

The rooms are bright, however some have to room with a roommate. They offer various types of food, exercise and activities. They also have a bus that can take some of them out to the mall if they want.
