The communication with the patient and proxy is severely lacking! There is a case manager assigned to coordinate the services provided to the inpatient. A weekly meeting is held with case mgr. and therapist. Patient or proxy are not allowed to attend so there is no input from the patient’s side. Details of meeting are sketchy at best. Three calls to the administrator have gone unanswered. Not happy about communication. J R Cavanaugh

They seem really short staffed now and under a lot of stress. Treatments are done in groups, not individualized.

The facility we found was The Woodlands at Pleasant Bay, and it's excellent. The people are very caring with the residents that are there. The residents themselves are very friendly. They created a culture where everybody seems to care about other people, so it has a very friendly atmosphere. If there is ever any issue, they call me. I think itÕs an excellent facility, and I am very glad that we placed my mother there. ItÕs a little bit pricey, but extremely good.

The Woodlands at Pleasant Bay was originally where I wanted my husband to go because it had a very good reputation, but they didn't have a bed at that time, and by the time they did have a bed, John was pretty well settled into where he was, and I didn't want to move him again. I would say, although I don't know this for a fact, that everyone who has been to Pleasant Bay liked it very much and would recommend it quite highly.

Pick another place for your loved one! Surly help, both in the Dining Room; making elderly, dementia residents stand and wait like little kids until EXACTLY 5:00 PM! Uncaring so- called RCAs, resident care assistants, what a misnomer, most don't care, and have Absolutely no training to handle with patience and caring, an elderly dementia patient. I know, I installed a nanny cam! When my relative moves out, And is being somewhat pushed out, I will make it public, maybe to the news media...

The Woodlands was a better option because that's where my mom lives. It's better to leave her up there than to move her down to Florida with me. It's a great place and I love the staff. It's a real top-notch. It's pretty new, the rooms are nice, and the food was good. The environment is nice, but I think they could have a better outside place to walk. Where the residents walk is kind of a driveway where the cars are as well. My mom wasn't really happy about going, but I think she knew she needed to go because she needed some help. She's okay with that and she's happy being there.

One of my friend parents stays at the facility and from what I have seen the care he receives is second to none. The facility is kept clean - the halls, walls are spotless, the rooms are kept immaculate all the way through from linen, floor and amenities. The staff is warm and friendly - they are a caring bunch as well. Some of the staff have a tropical flare that just fills the place with a sense of welcome and joviality. The place is spacious. They have adequate parking and landscape that is simply breathtaking. North Chatham is a beautiful area and this facility just being located there is a huge plus for residents who will need help living quality senior life. My friend goes there quite regularly to visit- I have been there with him a few times. I have know his family for a good time growing up. They are good people. And the one who is there deserves good people around.
