We visited The Residence at Riverbend for my mom. I like that it wasn't too large and it was a small enough and nice community. It was clean and everybody was friendly. I spoke with Tara, and she was always very thorough, very courteous, and answered all my questions. I liked her. We haven't tried the food yet but they sent us home with banana bread for my mom. The place was very well-kept, it was clean and had lots of spaces for people to go and be. It was very well done. They had a gym, a hair salon, they had a music room or a place to go and watch TV or shows together. They also have pianos and they could sing, they have libraries and places to sit outside. The place was nice.

I love it there at The Residence at Riverbend. I couldn't be more pleased. It's a perfect layout for the assisted living where my mom lives. They have a first floor built around a central garden, so it's just beautiful and tranquil. The staff is all amazing people. They really can't do more for you. The rooms are also very lovely. She's in a shared room and they have a kitchen and a bathroom. The food's delicious. They have an on-staff kitchen in there. You can eat from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on a menu and you're served by waitresses. The dining area is like a five-star hotel. It's super nice and I couldn't be happier. They send out a monthly calendar of activities and exercises every day. They have different games, they have music, they have people and bands that come in, and people that come in and sing to them. The facility is absolutely beautiful, well-kept, clean, and looks brand-new every time I go in. They have a movie room, an exercise room, a music room, a library, a game room, and the full-service dining room. They have an outdoor garden and residents can also have their own garden. They go out on field trips all the time too. They have a fireplace room that you can go hang out in. I wish I had made the move earlier. I think it's great. All of these places are expensive but I think it's worth it for the level of care that she got and for how safe and secure I feel that she's there.

The staff are impressive - everyone from the wait staff to the maintenance crew to the managers are thoughtful, kind and caring. Wow, what a difference from other facilities I've had loved ones in. The food is excellent. And, you can get food anytime you want throughout the day. Delicious! While COVID is challenging, the staff is conscientious and thoughtful. Activities are scheduled to address social, emotional and intellectual areas -- and staff implemented a program we suggested. The cost, while high, is more affordable than many places. I highly recommend this facility.

Emily’s mother is all set. She’s in The Residence at Riverbend, and she likes it very much. It’s a brand new, very clean, and very nice facility. She’s very happy there. The staff seems quite attentive and very caring. It’s not cheap, but it’s a good way, at the end of your years, to spend your time in a safe environment with a lot of people who are in the same situation. The little studio rooms are 350 sq. ft. roughly. Everything about it is nice. It has its own bathroom, a little open area with a bed, a little living room, and easy access to the dining area and the social rooms. They have tai-chi, yoga, and card games. They get their hair cut. Ecumenical church comes in for people who are church-minded. They have entertainment singers come in and an activities director who does a great job. They even have a nice little bar.
