Sunrise at Gardner Park was very clean and they had activities going on that would be interesting. The atmosphere was very congenial. Looks like people were being well taken care of. There was staff around and so forth. Two women were doing a board game and they seemed to be engaged in that activity. There were also people gathered in, some of them were just watching TV and there were few other things going on. Everything was well-kept and clean. The lady who gave me a tour was very knowledgeable.

I went to Sunrise at Gardner Park. They showed me one of the studios, and I thought it was small. The staff was excellent. Everybody was great. Everyone who I interacted with was wonderful. I saw an activity room where a game of bingo was going on. I saw the regular dining area and an area for people to congregate both inside and outside. The only drawback I had was the size of the studio. Had I seen the one bedroom, it might have been fine.

Let’s just start with if I could give them 10 stars I would!!! My mom has been here for a year now. She has a studio room which is sufficient for her as there are many common areas outside her room where she can mingle if she wants such as the parlor the cafe or library. There’s also a beautiful courtyard outside with a fountain and beautiful flowers in the summer months if someone wants to just be out in the fresh air. The place is immaculate 100% of the time. It is meticulously maintained inside and out and has a very homey feel. There are daily activities every single day all day. The staff members (nurses, housekeeping, kitchen, etc) go above and beyond. They are compassionate and caring. My mom is in great hands. I would highly recommend this place for a loved one!

My mother has moved into Sunrise at Gardner Park. She has a studio apartment, and it's clean and bright. The services are good so far. She likes the food. The dining room is adequate with tables and chairs and tablecloths. They have all sorts of activities for a wide variety of interests from bingo to card, movies, walks, social games, and exercises.

The rooms at Sunrise at Gardner Park were small. The building was old and refurbished. I didn't care for it, and it's very expensive. The staff who showed me around was very nice and very good.

At Sunrise, the rooms were not big enough, and it was set up more for women than men. There were only about six men out of 60 people. The grounds were very nice and well-kept, and the place was very clean. The guy who took us around was phenomenal and very pleasant. We really enjoyed meeting and talking to him. The only problem was everything was studios, which I don't like.

The location of Sunrise at Gardner Park is very nice. It is in a residential area, and they are right next to a very large private high school. It has spacious grounds, so it is definitely suburban, almost rural.

My parents are now living at Sunrise at Gardner Park. It is very clean and has great food. They are very caring. It was a very good choice. At Christmas time, they did activities and had groups come in and sing. They have arts and crafts, table bowling once a week, and a walking club. They have a nice walkway at the back half of the building with paved sidewalk and benches. There is really a lot to do there. I think you can be involved in cooking or making cookies some days. It has beautiful surroundings, and when it is warm, there is a wrap-around porch with rocking chairs and all kinds of nice places to sit and enjoy. You don’t have to really dress up to go up to the dining room. My parents would not go in a nightgown or something like that, but a nice t-shirt and a pair of sweat pants is acceptable. They take very good care of you, help you dress, and help you clean yourself. We brought their clothes over, and they dress them with what we brought. My mother had to stay in a hospital in rehab for a couple of weeks and the staff went over and above checking in on dad. They encourage you to go up to the dining hall, and they will get him and bring him back down. If they think he is just sitting around down here watching television, they take him up to the common room.

Sunrise at Gardner Park was very nice and very homey. The people assisting and talking to us were very nice and very helpful, but it was out of our price range. They did have many different activities, but there wasn’t a lot going on while we were there.

Sunrise has smaller common area. But overall I think this place is almost just as big as the other places we saw. I liked it, but the studios are too small and the 1-bedroom is too expensive. They were also more expensive for a move in fee. That’s always an issue. If your loved one will stay for a month and then they're unhappy and you take them out, you don't get back any of the move-in fee. You're not reimbursed for any of that. That's kind of scary because you're paying so much money for a month, then you'd pay a move in fee. I just think it's overwhelming to have a move-in fee.

Sunrise at Gardner Park is elegant. You’d feel like a princess or royalty in that place. It’s more expensive and out of our price range for one. And at that time, my mother had problems with her insulin, and she also had stage three sores and they could not accept a patient with that. The staff people were very nice. The rooms just average; like a small efficiency. You have a room for a bed, a dresser, a television, and then there’s a refrigerator a microwave, and plenty of closet space galore. Other than that, they’ve got nice big windows and were all very bright and cheery. They had everything from computer to trivia to playing games, and they had entertainment like piano players and musicians or stand-up comics coming. They had quite a variety of different activities and naturally Bingo that all the old folks like. One thing that impressed me the most about it was how elegant it was.

We visited Sunrise at Gardner Park. It was very nice and clean. It was too small, but it met all of the qualifications of clean, attractive, and decent rooms.

We had a very nice tour at Sunrise at Gardner Park. We learned about their program and all of the menu as well as their prices. They took us to every type of apartment and the dining area; everything was very nice. They do have an incredible chef who does ice sculptures and does parties. That was very appealing. The rooms were a little smaller. Their transportation services were not as good. Their prices were a little higher. Their exercise options were not that great. They don’t have much in the way of exercise programs, which something that is important for my mother.

We toured Sunrise, and it seemed nice. It was just too far away. I visited my mom everyday, so I wanted some place that was really close to me. They had some nice things there, like they brought in fresh flowers, and they had flower arranging, which was kind of unique. My mother loves flowers and gardening and stuff like that, so that was a plus. I just thought it was too far away. The rooms were different sizes, and it was an older building, so not all of the rooms were equal.

Sunrise is more on a personal level and they really care about the residents. Our overall experience with them was excellent. The staff was absolutely helpful, very pleasant, and knowledgeable. They are very caring and deal directly with the residents. They have different activities from music and day trips to walk groups. They also have crafts.

My mother was a resident at Sunrise for 4-5 years. The staff was always pleasant and loving which gave me peace of mind when I was unable to be there. The facility and grounds were always kept beautifully and my mother was always clean & had her meds given to her on time. Although I care for my grandmother for the last 8 years of her life, I was unable to care for my mom because I got the health benefits for my family at my job and my mother required 24 hour supervision. The activities director was also fabulous whether she was running a safe morning exercise routine or taking the residence out to eat. The food was also outstanding and they held parties for all kinds of celebrations. They also had entertainment come in to Sunrise on occasion. It was the best place for my mother.

My mother is in Sunrise at Gardner Park. It is small. My mother is blind, so for her, a small place is much better. She can get around much easier. The staff is very, very good. My mother trusts them all. As my mom's dementia got worse, they helped us make the transition for her to go to their Reminiscence program, which is specialized for residents with memory problems. I like this facility for her.

Sunrise at Gardner Park is a large living facility located in Peabody, MA. I have visited the facility several times this year to check on a resident who receives nursing services from the home health company I work for. Sunrise assisted living has well cared for gardens and lawn. There is usually a receptionist that allows visitors into the building. She was friendly and helpful. The senior residents' rooms are big spacious apartments. I noticed several residents strolling in the hallways while others were relaxing in dining room, entertainment room and courtyard. Trained staff was closely monitoring the residents' activities. There was a licensed nurse to assist me with reviewing the patient's meds. Sunrise is a large assisted living facility and feels more like an institution and would not be suitable for seniors looking for a close-knit community.
